We stayed here for one night when we needed to book something at short notice, i.e 2pm on the Saturday afternoon for that night and of the available hotels this was the most reasonable. The hotel itself is nice, it has a restaurant (we didn't use) and rooms that are scattered from what we could see between different buildings, there is a small bar and next door a much newer brasserie type place owned by the hotel which is very different in character. My personal view of the hotel is that it will probably need some revamping in the near future and I wasn't quite sure what it was trying to be. The room itself (In the main building), was fine, clean, it was a bit musty and had all the things you would expect, but not in a grand way you might get in some of slightly more expensive boutique hotels that are now available in the area. We slept ok and it was quiet and handy for the high street ( we ate over the road in a lovely little restaurant - can't remember the name, but it is almost opposite)
Breakfast was next door in the Brasserie, which was good.
In short although a pleasant stay, it was very average as a place and we would probably not stay again if other places were available.
