“Good if you like mega resorts, but not for me.”

The one really nice thing about this place was the clinic service. They offered us free use of a wheelchair and without too much effort it made our single night there more comfortable.

The place is very large, and we ended up in a downstairs room.

I tried to bargain the price down, but the front desk woman insisted that if I wanted the agoda price, I had to book with agoda (so I did).

I only stayed here because the Bali Royal Suites down the street was booked that night.

I won't go into detail, but it's basically as advertised. Big beach, big pool, a couple of restaurants, shops, etc etc. Nice enough staff. Room was basically in the basement which was a downer. Also the shower didn't drain great so I showered in a few centimeters of water each time. Also I think I got a mild case of Bali Belly from the room service. Nothing terrible but it lasted a few days.

Room Tip: If you want a view, get it in writing. The view from the lower level rooms is basically some alley.

Hotel abs a private beach which is a little disappointing. But over we had a nice time.
Breakfast is lavish and lobby is amazing. We had a gound floor room with a balcony and just had to walk out for the breakfast or a dipping the pool
U can hire water sport s equipments from the hotel beach itself. Free shuttle to NASA dua is good.

Room Tip: Take a ground floor room

“Average Resort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

My family and I are here at the moment, for a 5 star resort it is quite old but the staff do try with their attention to detail (eg, lovely flower arrangments). Check in staff are lovely however the overall staff around the resort struggle with english, it just takes a bit longer but its fine! We are in a suite which I got the impression that it would be a 'seperate' bedroom but its not. the bed is located up a step but there is no wall which makes it hard at night with 2 young kids. On arrival to the room i has the staff member if there was a bigger room availble and he said no, but the resort wouldn't be even a 1/4 full - prehaps its the language barrier. This is the 2nd resort so far I've stayed in and its like a ghost town, theres no one here - you think they would have a good sale, just to get some guests!
Anyway the food in the al a carte restaurant is very good compaired to where we last were. Its about 7.50 usd for a main meal (but than you get the bill in IDR?) and the breakfast is great. YOu don't get nothing for nothing though - we were charged for a glass of milk to put in our babies bottle.
We are only here for 2 nights which is enough, just not enough activities for the kids, the kids club is a small (but nicely painted) room with a handfull of toys which gets a bit boring after an hour. Also the coctails aren't good at the pool bar - no love put in them!

Room Tip: if you have young kids try to get 2 rooms the suits don't have a seperate room. And theres only...

“Highly recommended, will return as soon as we can.”

I stayed at Melia Benoa for 8 days at the end of January with my husband, sister and children. We all had such an amazing time and found it difficult to leave such a fantastic resort. We purchased the both the blue and gold all inclusive packages. Both packages were great value for money and when we return will be purchasing similar if not the same packages. The staff and service was above and beyond our expectations. The evening entertainment was perfect for all the family. The beach and pool area were extremely well maintained. I have stayed in many places around the world and Melia Benoa surpassed all our expectations.

“Good view of Beach, poor in room and service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

i stayed in melia in january 2012, for 1 night only. we can reach the hotel from the airport in 30 minutes. my bad experiences that in the front office, only 2 lady handle the guest, and 1 of them is still trainee. took almost 20 minutes to check in. room is to standard for the 4 stars hotel, actually is quite spacious, but the amenities look old, and cheap. view from this balcony is souvenir market near the hotel.

the room service/ housekeeping, suddenly knock my room and bring additional water, but it without any explanation, just knock and freeze without any smile on it.

the breakfast are standard, and serving pork nearby the other food stall, it not good for moslem - that consider halal foods, so i was only eat loaf bread + jam (its not recommended for moslem)

Room Tip: choose a room with a pool or garden view
