We stayed at Gasthof schoenegg for 2 nights. The rooms are very clean and the view from the rooms overlooks a canal and parts of interlaken. The Gasthof is easily connected with Interlaken by bus and its only abt 2 kms from Interlaken ost station. the downside of the place is that it has no balconies and is also a little steep in price. However i think in peak season in swiss the rates are in any case higher than normal. The owner was very friendly and also gave us a table fan and conversion plug on request. Overall, I would certainly recommend this place.

The hotel is situated in a cute spot, from where you can see all of Interlaken.
When you go for breakfast in the morning, and look out from the balcony , be mesmerized by the beautiful view of the mountain, clouds, light blue river , bridge and the houses below...... very scenic.

Room was very comfortable and cozy, tv for entertainment. Nice and quiet place.
Just note that there is a bus every hour from the station to the road near the hotel, so try taking that - makes it easy; as it leaves only a walk of 1 min.
The breakfast was quite good and healthy. We were taken care of well, by the hosts.

this is a lovely hotel, very friendly. the rooms are very comfortable. the breakfast is great and the restaurant menu is super. can't fault this family run hotel.would return in a shot if we were in the area.

Wanted to visit Switzerland and not spend a fortune, a friend recommended this Guesthouse. In Swiss terms this was quite reasonable and good value for money. The room we were given was down some steep steps but had good views over the mountains and valley. The furnishings were in good order, everything worked well but were in the 1970's style. It was reasonably convenient for Interlaken - about 10-15 minutes walk. Breakfast was in the Swiss style and of a high standard and served on a veranda overlooking the valley and the mountains beyond. We stayed for 6 days and the breakfast did not vary which was a little boring. It was an excellent centre for touring the Jungfrau region and we took full advantage.
