My first visit to Tobago was ruined on my arrival by the front desk person at Sunshine .... Anna. She was soooo rude, dishonest, not at all accommodating and speaks to people as if they are animals. She clearly should not be in the hospitality industry as she doesn't even have a shred of courtesy far less manners.
It is evident that "Anna" clearly thought she was doing my team and I a huge favor by checking us in despite we were paying guests. Her unwelcome and inhospitable reception had tainted our entire stay there!
Whilst the location is very convenient, the rooms were ok taking into consideration we were only there to sleep since we were out all day. The horrid service overshadowed anything positive that we could have possibly noted about the place other than its location.
We have requested that our company never use Sunshine Apartments ever again and I'll be sure to let everyone I know to never stay at Sunshine due to this person's animal behavior. Tobago boasts of its warm and friendly people but they obviously haven't met the staff at Sunshine!!
I later stayed at a guest house called VIP with some family and whilst it is not Hilton the staff was most accommodating and I must say the service was above par! The guy picked us up at the port, drove us around and gave us a little tour, he let us check in earlier at not extra cost, on the evening we were leaving he just charged us $50 to stay a few hours later and even dropped us off to catch the boat!! Rooms were equipped with everything down to matches!! Now that is what I call not only value for your money but excellent service. Furthermore the price was half of what Sunshine charges!
