If you want a vacation and want to still at home...this is the place to be...Quiet and clean surroundings...friendly staff. The chirping of the birds early in the morning and quiet atmosphere is so relaxing. Wonderful pool...the kids had a great time...never wanted to get out of the pool....swimming in the day and the night. If you want a vacation with a clean, quiet and relaxing atmosphere you should visit Sherwood Park Apartments. This April would be our second time here and definitely our annual vacation getaway...Definitely the place for a wonderful holiday...

We have just come back from 3 glorious weeks staying at Sherwood Park Apartments and couldn’t recommend them more highly. This is our second holiday there – our last was 5 years ago – and if anything we loved it even more this time.

Don’t go there if you want mega-luxuries, lots of staff in fancy uniforms and gold taps in your bathroom – you’d be better off in one of the big sprawling anonymous corporate hotels. But do go there if you want peace, friendliness and helpfulness, a safe and charming setting and a perfect place to relax and feel at-home. Maybe some people think that to feel safe on an island like Tobago you need to be in a gated hotel with uniformed guards on the door. In fact, we actually always feel entirely safe and cared-for at Sherwood Park, which is set in a comfortable local community not on “Millionaires Row” – and though we’re well-travelled we aren’t wildly intrepid or risk-taking!

The apartments are simply but attractively furnished (we had a Suite up on the first floor) They are spacious and equipped with a kitchen area with good size fridges and gas cookers. And the beds and pillows are really comfortable, always a plus. The surroundings are lovely – pretty flowered gardens full of birds and birdsong, a terrace and a very pleasant pool. The whole place is quiet, unrushed and so thoughtfully-run. Nigel, the manager, never puts a foot wrong and gets that balance right between being really friendly, informal and welcoming and also utterly professional in responding to any needs you have – for example to do with amenities in the room or for local information and advice. And the rest of the staff are friendly and kind, too.

Sherwood Park is set in a pleasant residential area slightly inland – but with views of the sea in the distance from your balcony. There’s a good supermarket only 3 minutes drive away and it’s a very easy to drive to beaches in either direction. We really like having a car and being able to go out and about to different restaurants, beaches and cafes and to explore under our own steam (and most people do this) But at Sherwood Park they do also offer a low-cost taxi service to the main beach and a shopping service, so it wouldn’t be vital.

In all this place offers everything you need to relax and have a dreamy Caribbean holiday – away from the potential hassle and noise of staying right by the beach. Couldn’t be better – and the hardest thing to do is to leave!

This was my first time to the Caribbean and it was so nice to be met at the airport by a friendly and welcoming face. From the start Nigel made us feel comfortable, looking after us from the start. He took us around to buy some food and made sure everything in the room was ok. The room and grounds were so well kept and maintenance was spot on. Nigel even come to check on the toilet when we didn't think there was anything wrong.

I would highly recommend this place for a stay when your in Tobago and Nigel... Your the man!

My family and I stayed at Sherwood Park and definately would stay there again. The staff are incredibly lovely and kind, nothing is to difficult for them to handle, We were picked up at the airport by Nigel (a totally amazing dude who makes everything seem easy), he took us to get food etc and he made us feel like we were home away from home. It was all self contained and blissfully quite. The rooms were beautiful and clean, the surroundings were immaculate and the pool was cleaned everyday so you can swim anytime! I would recommed this peaceful haven with great staff to anyone looking for accomodation in Tobago.
