“Such a friendly welcome .....”

Such a friendly welcome from Dot and Brenda. Sitting room is spacious and comfortable so after supper I settled for an evening in by the fire and was given a pot of tea and home-made muffins! My bedroom was warm, beds comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with more home baking and a doggy bag to take home with me. I stayed for the one night only to my regret but certainly intend to stay there again.

It's so easy to pass by Birnam and Dunkeld on the A9 heading north towards the Highland honey-pots but it's well worth a stay as there is so much to explore in the area and the autumn colours are a real delight.

“Couldn't Fault the Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

We couldn't fault our recent stay at the Waterbury Guest House, the location was close to the station and a short walk to all the bars and restaurants in Dunkeld. The breakfasts were amazing and had the extra added touch of great home baking which, too full from the delicious breakfasts, we usually took with us as sustenance on our lovely local walks. The service was amazing and Dot and Brenda couldn't have done more to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend a stay at this guest house and we certainly plan to stay there again

“Friendly, fab food - fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

Despite it being their first week, Brenda and Dot coped amazingly well when my family descended upon them. No small feat! They were extremely welcoming and friendly and would always be ready to help out with any request. I was wide awake at 5am attempting to write a speech for my wedding when Dot discovered me in the lounge. She responded to this crisis by making me coffee and providing biscuits. Such lovely gestures come naturally to them. The rooms are well-furnished and comfortable and include such delights as Tunnock's caramel bars. There is a fantastic breakfast menu and my cooked breakfast was superb. The guesthouse's central location allows for easy access to the nearby attractions. Staying here was such a pleasant experience and we will be definitely returning in the future.

“A lovely little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

This friendly, family run guest house in an attractive stone terrace affords very clean and comfortable accommodation. The location is central in Birnam, allowing very easy access to the tourist attractions. The well-furnished rooms are cosy, the service is friendly but professional, and the menu for their cooked breakfast was excellent. There are some pleasant personal touches thoughout: Tunnock's caramel bars in the bedrooms and home made scones and jam at the breakfast table are just two examples. At £60 for a double or twin room it is also good value for money - I would recommend it.

“Lovely host, comfortable room, tasty breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

This B&B had everything I was looking for - warm reception from Shannon (including a glass of sherry), comfortable bedroom, and a very tasty breakfast (I recommend the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon). Location is great for access to a number of sights (Birnam Oak, Beatrix Potter Gardens) and Birnam is a cute little town. There is a communal living room available (which we didn't use).
