“Lovely B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2011

We knew we had picked a good B & B when we walked through the door and were made welcome with a glass of very good sherry. Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating, and breakfast next morning was superb. The hotel is in a lovely, historic building with fine features like long windows and high ceilings. And such a pretty town with a charming old bridge over the river. The Birnam Hotel down the street serves great meals for your dinner. Parking is on the street. Highly reccommended by us: two American visitors in Scotland for the first time.

Excellent one night stay...hosts’s very welcoming & friendly, room very clean and inviting. Breakfast and choice was amazing especially the homemade scones… glad there was no room in the Birnam Hotel! From a local Perth couple

“Welcoming & Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 April 2011

Very pleasant stay, room was comfortable, breakfast was ample with plenty of choice. Shannon the manager made us feel welcome at once! This guesthouse is ideal if you are attending concerts/events at Birnam Arts Centre as it is just across the road.

“What a fantastic B+B in a stunning setting.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2011

I stayed here for three nights whilst salmon fishing on the Tay. On arrival we were asked if we needed help with our bags and equipment, a complimentary beverage of the the finest house sherry or whiskey.

The rooms were excellent and clean and everything was spotless and perpendicular. Everything was provided, ie bedding towels.

Breakfasts were excellent and the smoked salmon and omelette is certainly worth ago.

10 minutes from pitlochry and 15-20 form Perth.

An Excellent guest house in a glorious location.

many thanks again.

see you again.

“great value, unbeatable breakfasts”

I can't believe anyone thought this place was "average". It's a splendid Victorian house with lots of character, the bedrooms and the lounge are good and it's well situated, just a few minutes from the station and close to the river and the bridge into Dunkeld. Shannon is from Maryland and Graham is local and they are extremely helpful. They were previously caterer and steward at the golf club, so know how to run a place. The breakfasts are simply superb, as good as we've had anywhere - all home-made! Scones and jams, Irish soda bread etc are great and the several variations on pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup are not to be missed! Unusual, out-of the -ordinary and outstanding. Not expensive and definitely to be recommended.
