“Ocean 105 is amazing”

My first trip to Aruba will be that indeed, a first. Of many.
Ocean 105 was perfect for us, the service was impeccable, the rooms were spacious, clean well appointed and suited very nicely for a traveler. the Kitchen came with everything we needed for appliances, dishes, etc, etc. The location of the building was right at Malmok beach, one of the premier snorkeling and beach spots on the island. There was nothing at all that we didn't like about our stay on the island or our stay at Ocean 105. It was a bit of a magical week, and staying where we did made everything flow very nicely. Hotels are not the way to experience Aruba, private residences are. Ocean 105 is a prime example of the best way to stay when on vacation.

“One of Aruba's Best Kept Secrets”

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying for a week at Ocean 105 and enjoyed it very much. The private residence and apartments are located in the Malmok residential area directly on the ocean in the Northwest corner of the island within walking distance of the California Lighthouse (a must visit).
We were welcomed upon arrival and were pleasantly surprised that they upgraded us to one of the two bedroom units on the second floor. These units (there are 2) have a magnificant view of the Carribean to the West. We had beautiful sunsets every night and a couple of early morning rainbows. Raymond, who owns the residence was always asking how things were and was very committed to making our stay wonderful. The Aruba Happy Rentals team was also there whenever we needed them as well.
The rooms are very clean and stocked rather nicely with all the kitchen utencils and appliances(refrigerator-freezer, range cooktop, microwave) you need (no oven, though) for cooking a few dinners. Also included is cable, WIFI, beach chairs, beach towels, local cell phone, and even a cooler to take to the beach. Most of the beach area is lava rock and sand, but there was a small, intimate beach directly next door that you could swim out and take in the great snorkeling. I would definitely recommend bringing your snorkle gear as this is located in one of the best areas for snorkeling on the island. The area is like being in an aquarium with all kinds of bright colored fish and marine life. If you are not in the mood for snorkeling, then have a sit under one of the thatched umbrellas and enjoy the sun ans sounds of the surf.
To get around there are a few options including Arubus (bus stop located about a block down from the residence), rent a car (highly recommended), and taxi. We used Arubus as it was $4.60 RT for the two of us to downtown or to the Megastore and Ling and Sons grocery.
We would highly recommend this for a quiet, relaxing getaway on the island. My wife and I are regular visitors to Aruba and this by far was the best place we stayed for the price and location.

“Ocean 105 Aruba rental with all the luxury’s of home”

While on business in Aruba, I've lived at Ocean 105, Benji Apartment, the past three months, and have had a great rental experience! The apartment has all the luxuries of home while located less than 200m from some of the best snorkeling in Aruba at Boca Catalina beach.
The apartment is nicely furnished, steps above what I usually find in vacation rental accommodations. After a long day at the beach (or at work) it's great to get a good night sleep in a comfortable bed (a comfortable bed, again, not something I've usually found in rental properties). Raymond, Albert & Miss Gina take great care of the guests and the property is clean and well maintained.
If looking for a quiet oceanfront vacation rental, Ocean 105 is that place.

“Fantastic location; would definitely return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2010

Service: Albert, Elaine, Gina, and Gemma were all extremely helpful and accommodating. We put in a request for groceries to be in the apartment upon arrival and everything was there exactly as we requested. The rental company even gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine because it was our honeymoon! We had a nice time meeting the owner & co. at a cocktail party on their deck during our stay. Gemma arranged our car rental through Value which worked out great.

Room: We stayed in Rachel's apartment and it is pretty much exactly what is pictured online. The apartment was extremely clean and Gina did a great job keeping it that way during our stay. The bathrooms are very new, have only showers (no tubs), and are completely tiled (no fiberglass shower stalls, which was nice). The kitchen has four gas burners and a microwave (no conventional oven) and was perfect for the hot climate. We loved being able to check out the Dutch and European items in the grocery store and use them in the kitchen. The air conditioning worked great, with individual temperature control in each room. The only thing that would have made our stay 100% perfect would be a mattress upgrade. The mattresses they have now are adequate and we slept fine in general, but if they upgraded to a more deluxe mattress it would be awesome. The bedroom we slept in was on the second floor, facing the road, and we never had any noise issues. The building is far enough from the nightlife that there are very few cars passing by at night. They provided plenty of bath towels and beach towels, plus a Playmate cooler, which were great for bringing to different beaches around the island.

Location: We loved being in Malmok, which is literally a five minute drive from the nearest high rise hotel (the Marriott) at Palm Beach and less than that to the California Lighthouse or Tierra del Sol. There are two great beaches within steps of the apartment building. We loved being able to go for a swim at sunset after a day on the island without having to fight crowds at Palm Beach. We rented a car and were able to drive to a lot of beaches all over the island rather than relying on what a resort provided. And we got an ocean view from our apartment and balcony--we would never have such a good view in a comparably priced hotel room. The cell phone they provided us with enabled us to call for restaurant and tour reservations, very convenient. If you go, definitely try the restaurant at the Tierra del Sol golf course, Ventanas del Mar. The food and service were really great, and it's quite close to Ocean 105.
We loved Aruba and Ocean 105 and would definitely stay there again!

“Absolutely wonderful oceanfront accomodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2010

We just returned from our first visit to Aruba and a week at the Ocean 105 Apartment. We were two single women traveling together and we had one of the 2 bedroom units upstairs. Our flight arrived very late on Sunday evening, and even though we arrived very late (about 11:30 PM) Albert was there to meet us and cheerfully check us in. The apartments are very clean and well maintained and the view is gorgeous. The location is ideal. It's a quiet neighborhood which felt very safe. Restaurants and shopping are only minutes away by car. (I would defintely recommend getting a rental car.) As others have mentioned, there is a beach with good snorkeling just a few steps away.

On Wednesday evening the owner, Raymond, had a wine and cheese party for all the guests. (Something that I understand he does every week). There were also many of Raymond's island friends in attendance and it was nice to meet and visit with some of the "locals." Ramond is a very gracious host and we felt very welcome. Albert, Gemma, and Gina the housekeeper were also very nice and were attentive to our needs. There's a free Wifi connection which is nice, and you get a cell phone to use while you are there which is also nice. When I return to Aruba, I plan to stay here again.
