“Near the beach but not so nice room”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

It is located in a small village 30 minutes by car from Agadir and 10 minutes walk to the beach. We stayed there as a package of a surf camp. We're quite happy with the location and the staff are quite friendly
However the riad is having major renovation as they are adding more rooms at the top floor, there had been NO hot water during my whole stay. Imagine how awful that it wasn't possible to take a hot shower at the end of December!!!
Also, the mattress was awful. We are not expecting a 5-star hotel mattress, but the mattress was so old that we could feel the wired and we had already back ace after the first night. Tried to ask the staff to do something but obviously nothing was done.

Room Tip: Do not stay there in the next couple of months as major renovations are being done.

Good morning. Thank you for your comment. Your opinion is important to us. I noted your comments and I want to make some clarifications. Indeed, we are just finishing expansion work on the top floor. We are in the finishing and I think, as do some painting during the day is not very annoying ... Then, for hot water, it is true that during your stay we had a problem with our hot water tank. In Morocco, everything is slow! Since your visit this problem is resolved and we made the necessary repairs. All our customers can take hot showers! Finally, regarding your problem of mattresses, I am very surprised by your remark that "of course, nothing was done." I do not know who you sent but I can tell you that I never leave a customer without reacting to the problem. I am disappointed that our efforts have not met you and it is with good heart I offer you a free night in our Riad when you pass by here.

“Great hotel, and amazing people.”

The hotel staff were friendly, the hotel was beautiful, and everything was taken care of very well. The sheets were changed, the security was well done, and the staff looked happy to be there. Well worth the journey from Marrakesh to this hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the shower did take a few minutes to get warm, however once it was warm it was very warm. the food at the hotel was delicious and well prepared.

“Highly recommended!”

We spent one week there in October 2011.
The first thing to say is that this place has a very good quality for the price.
The riad is 5 min from the sea, which is a good surf spot. The bus stop is really near the riad and buses will take you to near towns (Agadir and Taghazout).
The rooms are simple but nice, as they have everything you need.
The food is very good and the moroccan chef is very kind, she takes care of any meal-needs.
The owner is very kind and helpful, he taught us lots of things on local lifestyle and traditions.
We will definitely come back there: the atmosphere is relaxed, and it is very easy to know people from different countries, especially during the dinners by the pool.

“Awesome Surf Riad - Great Atmosphere and Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2011

I stayed here for a long weekend with some of my friends with SnoworSand for their surfing trip - I thought the place was great, and loved the international atmosphere. There were surfers from all over the world, and it was super mellow and relaxed. The manager, Abdou, was a constant entertainer and was always bringing us beers, setting up the hookah (shisha) if we wanted, and keeping everybody happy.

My room was small, and the bathroom was a typical Moroccan style, so it didn't have a door (but that's almost every Riad in Morocco, so it didn't phase me or my buddies). It was clean and well taken care of, and the breakfast and dinner provided were hearty and perfect surf fuel after a long day on the water.

This place ROCKS!

“SIMPLY AWFUL”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2010

I would never ever suggest this riad to anybody! They do not provide even the simplest service!!! When we got there it was 9 pm and they weren't able to find our reservation in their email!!! They gave us three rooms (we were two families, both with children, so we placed the children all together in one room and the two pairs of adults got the other two rooms): one was without beds, the other without a working shower and the third one didn't even have the toilet paper!!! The rooms were all quite dirty and the swimming pool can't be considered: there were French children running all the time with bare feet and then plunging into the pool with their dirty feet making the water so dirty that you couldn't even see the "compass rose" depicted on the bottom of the pool itself!!! Very bad food and very bad service: we literally escaped after just one night!

It's always fun to see such negative comments across the board among other positive opinions! Obviously, not everything is perfect! But in all honesty, your comment is greatly exaggerated! I can assure you from your visit, the staff has been completely changed and management has become French riad with a new manager. I am also informed that the rooms have been renovated and we work every day to improve cleanliness. Finally, regarding food, I categorically reject your criticism! Other comments on our kitchen is our best proof of quality.
