Hotel is beautiful, staff very friendly, food excellent, If evening meal included in price make sure you book a time before you go.

We purchased a two day mid week package in mid January which was excellent value for money. The staff were friendly, the bedroom was spacious and the breakfast and evening meal were good. We enjoyed spending time in a very comfortable sitting room next to the reception area. It would have been even better if the fire had been lighting given that it was a cold spell in mid January. The conservatory where breakfast is served has a wonderful view over the lake and the hotel itself is in a superb situation.

We stayed in this hotel many years ago and felt that the character of the original historic house has been somewhat swamped by the vast new additions, namely the large conference centre and rooms above and the leisure centre.

We had our evening meal in the cellar bar in the basement - a dull lit bar with large TV screens everywhere. We were a bit unfortunate to dine during a major football match so it was very noisy. I had a tasty duck and noodle dish which was attractively priced.

Summary: Plus Points
Fabulous setting overlooking the lake. Great location for touring in and around Enniskillen. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms and lovely bathroom with shower over bath. Very comfortable guest sitting room next to reception. Good food

Drawbacks
Very poor mobile access and internet restricted to the conference centre (awkward if there is a conference in progress).
The mattresses aren't great for a hotel of this grade.
The maximum volume for the TV in the bedroom was so low that you had to sit next to it to hear anything - possibly to avoid the sound travelling to neighbouring rooms.
The hotel can accommodate large weddings so I would not like to be a guest if there was a wedding in progress.

Got a great value deal for an extended family trip at end of January. Having done the same the last 2 years in a well known hotel in Newcastle Co. Down, we were looking forward to trying somewhere new.
Positives : incredibly helpful reception staff - assisted us in moving rooms and a later check up, comfortable and clean rooms, lovely food in both restaurants and in both bars, outdoor hot tub
Negatives : SLOW and occasionally rude service at every meal - Breakfast, lunch in either bars and both restaurants. In particular, lunch in the cellar bar after we'd checked out on Sunday was ridiculous. The waitress all but threw our food and cutlery at us and dampened our impression of entire weekend
The pool became too cold for children quickly and the changing rooms weren't cleaned often enough.
All in all, would love to recommend the hotel but with the proviso that possibly due to staff being let go because of the recession, be prepared for fairly bad service when ordering food and drink.

I do hope we just experienced a bad weekend and other people experience better.

We stayed in The Manor House from 3rd to 5th of January after being so impressed with our visit last year. It met our expectations again, it really is a great hotel. The staff are a credit to it and the food and service are truly excellent.

Our only issue would be that the beautiful main hotel bar beside reception was rarely open during our stay. In our opinion it should be made more use of as the decor is so luxurious, warm and inviting. We had to go down to the Cellar bar every night and although it is a nice bar, it is not a 'statement room'.

We will definitely be visiting this beautiful hotel again...and again...and again....
