I booked this hotel believing it´s nice accomodation with no students at summer but it didn´t turned out to be just like that.. I´ve had to be up late because of these Italians football lovers whatsoever screaming and yelling 'till 0100 am.. Sure they go inside after 11 pm, but afterwards they gather around someone´s apartment and beeing so noisy that you can certainly hear throught thin window glasses. So, not a "hotel" in which you could sleep.

What else? The rooms aren´t so confortable, mine was meant for invalid and it was quite awfull with white wall and no nothing on then though very clean one. There was a TV but no cable to connect it to TV-networks.. Internet connection is working fine and the receptionist was nice and rented a cable for 5 euros which one can get back when returning it.

Buss is quite cheap to Dublin, (1,40 euros) and taxi to the airport costs only 14 euros. No nice restaurants or place to have coffee near by so you got to go Dublin in order to get something.

If I would know this all... I would definitely not booked this hotel room. Don´t make the same mistake I've made unless you are in a _need_ just for a place to be.

I booked this college dormitory through hotels.com thinking it was a hotel and conveniently located to Dublin Airport. First, it's not a hotel and should not be presented as such and secondly it's right at 20 minutes to the airport at an $18 Euro fare by taxi. On the positive side, the rooms are very clean and do have a private shower. The beds, queen size, are very hard as well as the pillows. The university rents the rooms during the summer to bring in extra revenue. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Had I known this was not a real hotel and was not convenient to the airport as I was led to believe, I would not have chosen it. There are also no restaurants close only a couple of take-away food places, neither accepting credit cards. There is city bus service at a reasonable cost to-and-from the city. If you want to be by the airport, however, this is not the place and it's not what could be considered a hotel.

If you are over 25, beware! This is nothing more than a dorm room resembling a jail cell. We were told these accomodations were "quite nice" by an agent at the Dublin Visitors Bureau who booked it for us. I'm not sure what planet she lives on, but this room was terrible. It was a room with a SMALL double bed, one towel and a plastic cup. It did have it's own bathroom with a gang shower that looked as if the rugby team used it regularly. We had access to a "shared living area w/kitchen" that was missing the TV, furnished by the Salvation Army and the appliances were old and dirty. You could not use the phone without a calling card. Music was rocking the house and there was no a/c. So, if you are traveling alone, seeking the company of a thousand loud college students, this is the place for you. There are several B&Bs in the area, so don't settle on this place!

last year i went to the U2 concert in Croke Park. It was quite hard to find accommodation so a friend of mine suggested DCU Accommodation. i was a bit dubious cos they are student accommodation. i must say it felt more like a 3* hotel than a university campus. The swimming pool was right outside my room, along with sauna and the works, I went to the restaurant, which was a 4-minute walk, but had a lot of choice and the best thing was it was just a very short walk to Croke Park. I am booking there again for Robbie William's and I would recommend it, specially cos the price is much cheaper than a hotel!
