“SO SO”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

This hotel is a long way out from Kyrenia but if you walk to the main road there are plenty of mini buses to take you to the centre. The hotel is a little tired and needs some finishing touches. Our room was large with clean comfortable beds, the fridge was old and rusty looking. The bathroom was large and clean, again it just needs a bit of TLC. The breakfast room has been painted but not by a steady hand! The lad serving was polite but looked rather bored. The landing door was hanging by a hinge. When we checked out the man on the desk did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. We did have a good price for BnB, so to be fair it's ok ish.

Room Tip: Get a room on a high floor

“A Wonderful Holiday... we'll be back!”

Once again many thanks to Erkan, his family and all the hard-working team at Hotel Sempati.
We stayed here for our 2nd visit and once again everything was brilliant.
Erkan arranged our flights (from Manchester to Ercan), our transfer to and from the airport and our request for 2 rooms - one a suite (room 34) and a separate room for our 17yr old daughter (bungalow 14 facing onto the swimming pool).
Our suite had 3 balconies and I felt worht the extra just for this - to sit out on an evening watching the sun-set or the activities below.
There have been several changes since we last visited. The bedroom carpets have been replaced with lino, new sun loungers and the breakfast and evening eating area now inside the hotel.
Where the outdoor breakfast area was you can now sit in comfy chairs, play pool or play table tennis.
We stayed Half Board but it is the same difference if you go B&B and pay 20 Turkish Lira (about £8.00) for a 3 course evening meal.
The food was delicious and freshly cooked. We particularly liked the chicken kebabs (have been trying to replicate them since being home!!) Also the meatballs - which are like small spicy burgers (you get 4!!) and also the chicken in sauce which was like a fantastic stroganoff.
We didn't eat in every night - we tried other local restaurants.
Whilst we were there, Elvis was on one Saturday and Cherry B was on on the Weds. Both were good entertainment.
Another plus for us was The Diving that is attached to the hotel.
Drew, Caroline and Gwyn are fantastic and both my husband and daughter felt at ease in their safe hands.
They had done their Open Water Padi course with them 5yrs ago and out daughter felt a little apprehensive about diving this time but they were really patient with her and soon she was at ease and is now ready to go on to her advanced course. (Hopefully in the bery near future!!)
If I can be of any help with further questions please do not hesitate to contact me!

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for a suite - purely for the balconies.
