We booked this hotel because the Holiday Inn on Via de luna was full. This hotel was just as nice, the only difference was the lack of the lazy river and huge pool and proximity to the restaurants. But, if you're looking for a more quiet stay while at the beach, with maybe a few hundred less people on your section of the beach - stay here. The rooms were nice and EVERY room faces the Gulf with a balcony, which we LOVED. Slept with our door open to hear the ocean every night. Hot breakfast was your typical Holiday Inn express breakfast. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the facilities were clean. It's more of a walk to the main drag with all the restaurants and touristy shops, but my 3 yo and I walked it with only minor complaints from the little one. Overall, great hotel. Would definitely stay here, though if you have little kids who LOVE pools with lots going on in them (water spouts, lazy river, etc) the the other Holiday Inn might be more for you.

So clean, great location, beautiful beach and helpful staff

We stopped here on our way to New Orleans. Stayed over one night. Got a walk-in AAA rate which was very reasonable. We came here because of the excellent tripadvisor reviews about this place. It lived up to it's reputation! It is a very well-maintained property. The staff speak to you and act interested in helping you open doors, give directions, always smiling, etc. The room and the view should be very spectacular. I say "should be" as the night we stayed over the entire area was blanketed by a thick fog so the view was obscured. And the next morning, the fog had not lifted. We did go out and walk on the white sandy beach. Access to the beach involves just going out a side-door and across a wooden walkway. Our room was sparkling clean and I do mean sparkling. I am a clean freak when away from home and our room gets an A+. Hot breakfast was very tasty. I noticed that the attendant replenished items promptly, so everyone got what they wanted. If I ever make it back this way, this is the only place I would consider staying. It is wonderful.

A wonderful hotel that faces the ocean. The beach is spectacular as well as the staff. We had everything we needed at this HIE and its location is ideal. Very reasonable rates and you just have to step out the door to the beach. Will definitely return someday.
