Most of what we experienced has already been covered by earlier reviews. The kids loved the cabin. We did too, dusty floors aside. Like other NP's, the advantage is that you are there before and after the day tourists are gone. Nothing significantly wrong with our cabin at all. Spend the money and have fun.

We stayed in cabin 500, and it was wonderful. These cabins have been refurbished and they are beautiful. Wood(like) floors, comfortable beds, duvets, wool blankets. A convenient area with an additional sink made 2 people getting ready easier. The porch had a splendid view of the canyon. The restaurant was so good we didn't go into Springdale to eat, as we had intended. This is a great opportunity to experience a pleasurable stay in a national park, very superior to other parks we've stayed in. (See our review of Bryce Canyon Lodge.)

During the day I really didnt like the atmosphere because the lobby and the area is the focal point fo revery tourist in the park to get snacks, shop and hang around. So it is not at all peaceful. At night it quiets down. The dining room is fine-no view though. This has to be one of the few hotels in the world iwth free wi fi and no TV. Or pool. Our room faced the rear, away from the road and the bustle and so the porch was nice. So we liked for a night but with kids I would stay in town.

The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms are large and very clean with a nice outdoor deck off of the room. The Red Rock Grill was a nice restaurant, very close to the hotel. You certainly can not beat the views and the convenience of staying right inside the park.

This lodge is located in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. We were in the motel which is a group of buildings a short walk from the lodge. It is a very friendly family enviroment. Each motel has a central room with a fireplace and game room. Our bed room was clean and comfortable and decorated with animals in the bathroom tiles. We had a very nice, private porch on which we could relax at the end o the day and watch the sun go down behind the breautiful red rocks. We rode the park shuttle to the end of the park, and to the visitor center where we caught the free city shuttle and rode into Springdale to sighsee. We loved our time spend at Zion and would love to go again.
