I have stayed here in the past and still continue to stay here when I head up this way.
The cabins do not have a toilet or shower in them, but you can use the one in the big cabin 7a-10p every day. There is an outhouse for after hours.
We spent $65 for one night, which is very reasonable.
We ate dinner and breakfast here while going fishing in the nearby areas and visiting with families. We both had the french dip for dinner and it was very very good. Prices were reasonable for the area, I think it was $8.00 and you get either potato salad or a bag of chips as a side.
We also had breakfast here. I wasn't super satisfied with my french toast, it was average, but my boyfriend liked his biscuits with sausage gravy. Breakfast was about $8-9.
We also had a frozen latte there that was incredibly good! Average pricing that's comparable to Anchorage at about $5 each...it was DELICIOUS!
Patty is super super friendly and I adore her.
The grounds are so well kept and the flowers are beautiful. Even my boyfriend commented on how great they are.
Very friendly and even gave us tips on where to go fishing at :)
The rooms are simple, a nice log bed. They have a TV with a VCR player and you can borrow VHS tapes from the main cabin to watch. I think some of the cabins may have DVD players as I saw some DVD's available. There are also heaters in every room if you get cold.
Just an overall great place to stay if you're heading up to Chitina or McCarthy :)
