“Great park, poor management.”

The park is great & the campsites are all wooded; most of them flat. Rialto beach isn't necessarily walking distance but you may be happy just hanging out at Mora. I rated the service poorly because of mismanagement by the park rangers. You must put your envelope in a plexiglass slot where all can see that you occupy a particular spot. The problem is that this park is frequented by lower class individuals who will either try to fish your envelope out of the slot, or just put their envelope on top of yours and then set up camp at your site if you are off at the beach. When you come back you've got 5 or 6 rednecks challenging you to your campsite. This happened to us while with our 6 month old child. To avoid an ugly scene we asked the park ranger to intervene. It turns out that the ranger helped them set up their camp at our site and, due to embarrassment, he wouldn't enforce the rules. Of course, the ranger didn't own up to his complicity. It took one of the screaming rednecks to rat him out. We had to use the handicap site in a packed campground. Bottom line: the campground is great but don't rely on the rangers to keep the peace. You're on your own.

“Lovely Campsite”

We found this campsite through our Pacific Northwest Rough Guide and it was perfect. Great location, about 2miles up the road from Rialto Beach, set in amongst the trees (I think all the spots were shaded and tree covered), each campsite has its own picnic bench and campfire ring. They are all pretty spacious and each section has its own toilet block.
No showers - however if you are there for a longer stay the campsite up the road has coin operated showers you are able to use, in fact the ranger station has a list of about 4 sites you can visit to shower.
The campsite was lovely and quiet when we were there, I think they have 80+ sites but it does say it fills up quickly at peak times as its so nice, its in the National Park.
Overall can't wait to go back!! Good location too, about 11m outside of Forks which has pretty much all supplies you would need if you had to re-stock!!

“Spent every laborday at Mora Campground”

We go to Mora Campground every year and have my whole life. it is a wonderful secluded campground surrounded with trees and wildlife, with a small river that runs along the grounds. it sits just a short distance from Rialto Beach where you can have guided tours down the beach to Hole in the Wall or James Island, or you can also explore on your own. you can also take a short drive to first, second, and third beach where you can choose to walk right onto the sandy shores of first beach or take hikes down to second and third beach. what ever you choose to do have fun and good luck with your visit.
