“Beautiful lake, simple, back-to-basic accommodations.”

I wanted to escape city living, but didn't want to sleep in a tent. The Log Cabin Resort was a happy medium. Very simple, single room log cabin with lock and latch helped me feel very safe. If you want luxury this is not for you, but if you want to listen to the quiet drama of nature then this is a great place. 90 minute drive to Forks and Ho River Rain Forest. Excellent cook, good service. I had a few great campfires in spite of rain. Simple is what I wanted and the log cabin fit the bill. Happy Trails!

“Absolutely amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

My wife and I spent last weekend there. We rented an A-frame cabin and it was by far the coolest cabin I've ever been in. There was an amazing view of the lake right from our room. We could walk out of our back door and be in the lake in less than a minute! The grocery store was cool. I'm a sucker for an old school soda jerk. The food in the restaurant was amazing both nights. The service was great, the view from the restaurant was stunning. The whole trip was worth the drive. We plan on doing it again next year!!

“Relaxing with an amazing view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 March 2011

Log Cabin Resort is one amazing place to visit the view is simply amazing and the along with the endless opportunities to bring a family. Hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, and relaxing and allows pets. Such a peaceful getaway. I have bringing my family back for many years I just read some of the reviews people have written and totally disagree with the negativity sure some may be legitimate complaints but the rest I have heard is ridiculous. People this is a very rustic facility and was built along time ago and his not the Hilton That’s the whole concept a “Rustic Place to get away” and relax the staff and management have always been accommodating to my family and I. That’s why I make the trip of over 1,000 miles every year. I always feel refreshed when I come back to the reality of work; I highly recommend a stay with Log Cabin Resort if you are looking for the Hilton this is not the place for you.

“Lovely location, abissmal accommodations”

My wife and I spent one night at the Log Cabin resort at the tail end of a business trip I had in Seattle. We had hoped it would be a nice stop as we visited Olympic National Park. The park was lovely, but foggy, and we had a great day walking and viewing the northern end of the park.
We checked into the "resort" in the evening and found our room to be far below what is advertised on the website. The view looking over the lake is nice but looking inward was appalling. While the room was not dirty per se, it did smell and my wife and I immediately returned to the office to discuss the issue. The desk staff seemed sympathetic but would agree to either switch our room or refund our money so we could look elsewhere. We spent the night in the crummy room and left before the sun arose the next morning with bad memory in a beautiful park.

“A wonderful stay!”

We had a family vacation in Washington a couple weeks ago. I had booked this place four months in advance and warned my family after staying in Seattle for a couple nights to prepare for a rustic experience. When we arrived, the beauty of the location set us all in a good mood. We had one of the lakeside chalets and a sleeping cabin up on the hill. Coming into the chalet, it had a musty smell, but it appeared very clean. Maybe it had something to do with being right next to the lake. The kids were happy with the cabin, complete with a loft and gorgeous window views. My huband and I stayed in the cabin on the hill. It's like going back in time! I saw a deer in the forest right outside the panoramic windows in the bedroom and I loved soaking in the old clawfoot tub.
All the families staying at the resort looked like they were having a great time. We rent a canoe and some of my kids even swam in the chilly blue waters of the glacier lake. I made a dutch oven dinner and eating out on the table by the lakeside cabin seemed picture perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The price was a little high, but for staying in a national park I think it is to be expected. Well worth it to us, we will definitely stay again!
