“Honeymoon Heartthrob”

You just have to experience the luxuries at Lake Crescent Lodge with someone special to fully appreciate the serenity found in one of the most tranquil places on the Olympic Peninsula. The Pen Cove Mussels are just incredible too as has been every dish we have tried here. But the mussels were so over the top wonderful they deserved a special notice of their own.

“Wonderful Respite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

My wife and I recently spent 4 days a Lake Crescent Lodge, and what a great place it was. We stayed in one of the Marymere rooms, and I cannot describe the beautiful sunsets and vistas looking out over the lake from our door. The lodge itself is a great place to meet people from all over the world, or merely sit by the fireplace. The dining room was also a highlight as the food was very good, and the atmosphere top-notch, as you look out over the lake in an Early American atmosphere. Try anything berry-oriented for dessert.

“Historic Lodges”

After visiting Lake Quinault Lodge the night before, we decided to stay at Lake Crescent Lodge instead of going on to Seattle. We stayed in a Marymere room. We were not disappointed. The beds were new, and the bathroom with it's unique charm was spotless. We read some people say the rooms are not clean. Our room was very clean. The view is unbelievable. The managers on duty both at night and the next morning were delightful and very knowledgeable. The food service at Lake Quinault was better, but the quality of food in both lodges is wonderful. I am actually thinking of breaking a 50 year tradition and doing the family vacation here this summer. That's alot to be said.

“Beautiful location on the lake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We stayed in the main lodge and shared the bathroom and showers with 5 other rooms on our floor. This ended up not being a problem. I never had to wait for the bathroom or the shower. The room was nicely decorated in a rustic style. The lobby is large with a fireplace and lots of areas for sitting and relaxing. We brought our own dinner and ate in the lobby area that has gorgeous views of the lake. The next night we ate in the restaurant which was pricey but delicious. The lake was beautiful and we even swam in it. What a treat! I highly recommend staying hear!

“Don't stay in the Storm King building.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

While the website describes the Storm King rooms as modern, its as modern as the 1980s, so it's pretty darn out of date. Our mattress was also pretty uncomfortable, we had spiders in the spare blanket, and the room fogged up severely every time we took a shower. My husband described it was trying to sleep in a steam room.

Ignoring the room though, Lake Crescent is beautiful, the restaurant is great here, and there are some nice hikes like Marymere Falls right outside your door.
