“Beautiful Lake Resort”

Fantastic secluded lake with crystal clear water. Unfortunately we were not able to stay the night because we happened upon the entrance to the hiking trail down to the boat pickup. We were totally unaware that there was a floating resort on the other side of the lake. The boat picked us up and brought us to the resort. From there we rented our own boat and cruised the lake. Awesome! When we were done cruising we went back to the resort. They shuttled us back to the other side of the lake and we had to hike back up to the road side where our RV was. Hiking back uphill was the only bummer since the wife was pregnant. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience.

Ross Lake is perfect for those of us who aren't equipped(or willing) to backpack and/or camp. It still gives us the opportunity to experience true wilderness. It is the only place I have been where you can count the number of boats within your range of site on one hand.

Truely spectacular - wonderful!!!

One of the most beautifull places on earth! Fish, rent a boat and go exploring! If you're not enjoying yourself, you must be dead!

Ross Lake resort is amazing. Isolated, peaceful and breath-taking. Went with 7 kids (ages from 1 to 10). June weather was a little cool but it did not spoil the fun. The resort can be book in July so make plans early. 25% off cabin rate in June and October.

“Pristine Untouched Wilderness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2002

I have been to Ross Lake Resort starting on my honeymoon in September, 1980. We've been back 8-9 times since...It's priceless if you like a total solitude, getaway, wilderness experience. Pristine mountain peaks and crisp mornings. Fishing and hiking along the 26 mile stretch of the lake, exploring with the motor boats for rent or a kayak. The cabins are rustic to more modern, but generally you go for the isolated experience. The cabins float on the lake's edge and the same owner's been there for 22 years! Great spot...bring all your stuff, no stores, phones, malls.
