My husband and I had watched the sunset from McJagger Museum and were leaving the park and just happened to see the Military Camp sign along the road and my husband who is retired air force wanted to stop in and see the camp. They said that there was a cafeteria onsite and we were welcome to eat in the cafeteria- they said most people say it is pretty good. We were starving after spending all day in the park so we thought we would give it a try- food was excellent, grilled pork chops, salad bar, baked potato bar, rolls, soft serve ice cream and a drink for $15 each and you don’t have to be military to eat here- they said that they serve civilians as well as ex-military personnel. This was better than any meal we had in Hilo, would definitely eat here again.
