Lizard Creek is your typical National Forest campground, with all the typical features, leaky faucets in the aging rest rooms, rugged yet adequate camp sites, and of course, fabulous scenery. Located at the Northern end of Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park, Lizard Creek provides quaint camping without all the crowds and hassles of the larger camp grounds at Colter Bay or Flagg Ranch. Lizard Creek is in bear country, and you should make sure you keep your foodstuffs in your vehicle or in the bear lockers located near each camp site. A camp host resides in the Camp ground, and programs are offered by the Forest Service throughout the week. Rugged, not too crowded, and definitely worth it, if you don't mind camping without all the amenities.
