This campsite was lovely, spots are secluded and have plenty of space between campers. Great to wake up to birdsong. Jackson lake is nearby a short walk to get there but not the best view of it. Its a first come, first served booking system (no pre-booking). Excellent value at about £15 a night. (We were in an RV and stayed in June.)

After all the positive Jenny Lake Campground reviews, we were going to make that our home for a few nights before heading out to the backcountry. When we drove around Jenny Lake Campground, we couldn't understand what all the glowing reviews were about. Only a few sites had Teton views and it looked crowded with small sites.
We took the drive to Lizard Creek and it was the complete opposite. Quiet, well spaced out wooded sites with beautiful views. We were in site 15 which had lake views through the trees and a path that lead down to the lakeshore. Some sites are right on the lake with unobstructed views. The 2 nights we were there in the 3rd week in august the campground was about 75% full. It is a little far from the Jenny Lake area so you have to drive for some of the popular trail heads, but it's worth it to come back to such a relaxing camp!

We returned to Lizard Creek campground on June 20th, 2009,for the second year in a row. Other than a different site, the experiance was as good if not a little better than last year. Coming in three weeks earlier meant a whole lot less people. The camp hosts were even better than the folks last year. Again we camped lakeside. Peace and quiet was abundent. Generators are kept far away from tenters. Never heard them. This has become my campgroung of choice when in the area. Cant wait to get back!
