“Peaceful”

Ten-X was a very peaceful and calm campground. We stayed on campsite number 18. The campsite was very large and secluded. The picnic table is large and shaded by trees. This campground does not have flush toilets. Some of the vault toilets smelled disgusting while others smelled very clean. There is no sinks to wash your hands or dishes. They have areas in the forest were you can pump the water out of the ground. This was difficult when you needed to wash dishes or even wash your hands. We had jugs that we would fill up and take back to our campsite. The people who run the campsite are very nice and are always sitting at the front of the campground. They sell wood on site $5 a bundle which is really nice. The campground is about 5 minutes from the entrance of The Grand Canyon National Park. About 2 minutes away is a little city that has a grocery store, souvenir shop and restaurants. Overall this campground was spacious, peaceful and in a great location. We would love to come back.

“Best camping experience we've ever had!”

The 4 of us (2 couples) traveled to the Grand Canyon from Dallas, TX. We were very anxious to arrive at Ten-X since we had driven 2 days to get there. (Spent 1st nite in Albuquerque at Dancing Eagle Casino RV Park (great place to stay for a quick overnite). We were leaving 95 degree temperatures with high humidity in Dallas so climbing to 7000 feet would be a great pleasure. Richard, the campground host and his wife, greeted us with big smiles. We found the perfect site for our 30 ft. pull- behind camper, #35. We were comfortably close to the vault toilets that had been built just a month earlier. Talk about fresh! The sites are spaced well apart so you have a sense of privacy too. Water is available in the campground but the hyrdants are 100-200 ft. away from the campsites generally and the water pressure is low.
Our camper was self-contained with a generator so we had all the comforts of home. It got chilly enough during the nite that our furnace kicked on a few times. We built a fire every evening after watching the Elk and Deer along with Pinon Jays, Hawks and California Condors, to name a few, in the Park. We were camped for 5 nites and wished we could spend many more!

“Wonderful quiet spot”

My group had originally planned to stay at the Desert View campground only to arrive at the national park to find that it and Mather were both full. It was approaching sunset so we quickly made the trip to Ten-X. Turns out it was the best decision we could have ever made! They had plenty of available campgrounds and they were all wonderful. We managed to snag a great spot (#22!) and set up camp for the week. The prices are reasonable, the area is quiet and the owners are incredibly helpful and friendly! There are plenty of outhouses interspersed throughout the area that were all very clean and the view of the stars at night was magnificent. It was much less crowded than the campgrounds located within the national park and this turned out to be a blessing; the drive into the park each day didn't bother any of us at all! We learned very early on not to leave water bottles laying out at night or the crows will peck holes in them. All in all a wonderful spot, one we will most definitely be returning to!

“This is what a campgound/RV Park should be”

Spacious, wooded sites, quiet, clean. The campground host, Richard, and his loyal sidekick, Honey made it a truley enjoyable stay. Richard is very knowledgeable and gave us some great suggestions for places to check out in the park and shuttles to take, things we would have missed out on if he hadn't told us about them. He really seemed to care that his campground guests had an enjoyable time at the Grand Canyon. This is what a campground/RV Park should be - most RV parks would have 10 RV's in the size site we had. Can't wait to go back again. DEFINATELY recommend this place!!
