“Beautiful and (semi)secluded”

My hasband and I have stayed at Blackwall in the past, but decided to try Seawall this time. We opted for a site that was set back, so we had to walk a little to get to our site. There wad hardly a soul there midweek, the week after Labor Day. It was great! My only complaint would be that it's a decent distance to Bar Harbor, where z lot of stuff is, but that's not a fault of theirs. It was exactly what I expected - peaceful, beautiful, and clean.

“Worked out great”

Stayed here for 2 nights in august with 2 couples. I should start off by saying that the layout here is pretty typical for drive-up, state park camping - meaning the sites are somewhat close together, but generally people respect that everyone is there for a little solitude and we very much felt like we had privacy (they also have "quiet hours" from 10-8 i believe). With that said, the site was nice - standard grass and gravel, fire pit, separate stove, and picnic table. They even cleaned our firepit while we were out hiking. I loved that I could hear the waves when I fell asleep. Very close to the ocean, obviously, and can walk over to a beautiful view. You're about a 25 min drive to acadia entrance, but it's not bad. Restrooms had running water and plumbing, were clean and accessible, no showers (but you can go jump in all the awesome lakes instead!).

“Peacefull, quiet and charming place.”

Excellent place for rest...Nice quiet campground away from touristic spots at south end of the island. Got there without reservation at 11 am on friday July 1st. Many places were still available. Lot of space on each site. Full shade. Some sites were too close together specially in the center of loops. Rangers are nice and welcoming. Saw some deers at dawn. You go asleep and awake with wave sounds. Inexpensive. But two things prevents me from giving a 10/10; the lack of playground and showers. Have to go 5 min away in a store to wash yourself!

“Beautiful location - fell asleep to the waves!”

I would give this campground five stars, but gave it four only for lacking showers.

It's a great location. A previous reviewer mentioned it was too far away from the main area of the park and Bar Harbor. I preferred being removed from the crowds actually. The actual Seawall is a stunning landscape. My husband and I camped in the B loop and we could hear the waves as we fell asleep.

We have camped a lot in the Northeast and this campground was by far the cleanest. Bathrooms were well maintained. I wish they had showers, but a local convenience store has showers up the road for $1 for 3 minutes. Kind of a rip off, but hey, it's camping.

It's very wooded so you feel secluded from your camping neighbors. We lucked out and didn't have any noise issues. I guess it's the type of people going to National Parks.

If you're visiting from the city, make sure you look UP at night... you won't BELIEVE how many stars!

Acadia is a must visit. Absolutely stunning scenery.

“Nice quiet campground”

I stayed for 3 night with my girlfriend here in a tent. It was a very nice campground and the park rangers were very nice too. It was equipt with plenty of parking space, a picnic table a fire pit with a GOOD grill grate to go over.

There is plenty of water spigots in any direction and almost every site is close to the bathrooms. Some sites are closer than others with less privacy. But it is a quiet campground, so it isn't obnoxious.

The only main downfall is that it is on a off section of Acadia so you have to drive to most places. There are some attractions closer. However, Blackwoods campground fills up very quickly so this was my back-up and worked out well.

I would stay here again.
