We stayed here for a week with our 12 yr old son and dog to get back to the basics of life, natural surroundings, no electronics and just being together as a family. The sites are nice - nicer than I have seen at expensive private camprounds. Bathrooms are nice albeit the showers are $2.00 in quarters and up on the main road but are clean and hot. The site was level with a pebble & log trimmed outline along the whole site, back and around the campfire ring, with a spacious enough area in a "21' camper site" to fit our 21' camper along with our large vehicle and much space to spare. Very quiet each night even with the comings and goings of campers on either side and behind. The Ocean Path in the campground is a must every morning with your coffee to see the sun coming up over the ocean waves high on a rocky cliff. The rangers are ready to provide lots of information - only wished I had spent more time in the office for hiking recommendations. Neat to go to the Jordon Pond House for their famous popovers -- as you eat them you can imagine the ladies and gents of the 1800's sitting in the same spot eating them too! I recommend Hunter's Beach not too far up Park Loop - it's a very nice rocky beach with a babbling brook rolling down the side.
