“Arkadia and the BBQ Boss!!!”

To anyone that wants a loverly quite and relaxing break with great comfort and hospitality in a quality, personal and friendly hotel.......look no further then the Arkadia in Zante. My wife and I work in the busy finance industry of Jersey, have a small two year old son and a disabled father and once per year we get a 2 week break from it all, so we have to make our holiday count. This year we chose Zante and the Arkadia Hotel. As the previous year was a disaster (Plevna Hotel, Malta...the Fawlty Towers of Malta) we were a little nervous to say the least, but our nerves were soon put at ease on arrival. We arrived on Saturday 27 August to a large chap cooking for approx 40 on the BBQ. This man was Angelos, the owner, the entertainer. He was aided by his wife Mari a truely wonderful woman and together, with their two delightful children and staff make this a fantastic place to stay. We stayed for 13 nights, meeting family flying in from the Czech Republic and each night was great. Throughout the stay, Angelos and all could not do enough for us. The food great, the rooms great, the pool and bar area great. Our two year old loved it too. Angelos was a legend with young Robert.

I have reviewed all the reviews on hear and wanted mine to be the last of the season. To all those reading this review, I can not agree more with them all and can not add too much else.

Angelos, Mari and all. Thanks for making our stay fantastic and memorable. we do hope to return one day.

Best wishes to you all and hope to see you in Jersey soon.

Paul (Brian), Lada and Robbie (Man Utd forever)

PS. To all Man Utd Fans. Angeos' only down fall is that he proclaims to support Liverpool..........but I must say, for a scouse fan, he's a top bloke.

I am pleased to find that so many people have discovered the delights of Arkadia, and it's wonderful hosts Angelos and Mery.Shirley and I have just returned from our 14th trip there.I'm so glad that so many people have also discovered the delights of Arkadia.
We have met many of the people who have placed reviews on this site, and find their reviews to be very honest assessments of the hotel, owners, staff and facilities.
We always go May and September, due to the cooler temperatures, don't worry it's still around 28c.Food is of the highest standard and Angelos is a very lucky man, getting Mery to cook his meals when the tourist season is over.If Gillian is reading this, she was right the calamari is the best.Mind you all the food is excellant and you will not be disappointed with whatever meal you choose. All food freshly prepared on site and if it's not in season then you don't get it.
Standards are still as high as the first time we stayed there, and Angelos Mery and their staff will do their utmost to ensure you have a first class experience.
It is equally suited to couples, families and singles and set in a superb olive grove location.
Beautiful views of the mountains, sea ,Kefelonia and mainland Greece make this an ideal location to chill.
Many arrive tourists and leave as friends, and, many of them are repeat visitors.
Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

“Just great !”

We stayed at the Arkadia Hotel last September for one week. Much too short!!! What a wonderful experience! If you are looking for the best hospitality in a relaxing atmosphere don't look any further.

Location: If you plan to visit every corner of the island (as we did), Kypseli is the perfect base. From there, no village or beach is too far. You will need a car though. Don't worry, you can hire one from Angelos (the owner) as he also runs a car rental service.

Rooms: Perfectly clean, comfortable bed and quiet. Big balconies with nice view.

Food: The breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. and is of very good quality. The dinners are prepared by Angelos' wife, Maria, with much love - you can see it and taste it. The food is really of excellent quality and if you have a normal appetite, we guarantee you will not be hungry after the meal. We never took the risk of skipping one evening. Ευχαριστώ Maria !

Hosts: Angelos and his wife Maria and the whole staff (hallo Klaus, kαλημέρα Georgia and Aniko) are all lovely people. At the Arkadia you will not be a "customer". You will be Angelos' and Maria's guests. What a huge difference. Τα λέμε σύντομα!

“A welcoming place for everyone!”

No matter what you're looking for, peace, joy of life, Arkadia Hotel is the best choice for all your wishes and needs. The place, a family business runned by Angelos and Mery, is located near by the sea, you can hear the waves whispering when crushing the stony boards. All was perfect! The rooms are very clean and you have enough space for everything, and a small kitchen if you want a quick coffee or if you have children to feed. The staff is very welcoming and paying attention to customer needs. The food is excellent, cooked by Mery herself, and she does it from her heart, with stuff taken from the gardens around the hotel. The hotel has a parking place, a big and clean pool surrounded by lounge chairs, a place for children to play.

“Very good family run hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

We booked the hotel over the internet and everything was as expected. Very good family run hotel by Mery and Angelos. The staff was very helpful and kind. We've read that Mery cooks very good but all we can say after we tasted the food made by her is "delicious" with fresh ingredients. We had an excelent journey. For sure we will come back, maybe the next year. Highly recommended!
