On arrival, heating was was off in bedroom, was told it would be turned on (although May, it was quite bitter), never was turned on but fortunately found a heater in the wardrobe (the door fell off the wardrobe on being opened!!). The main light in the bedroom needed (I guess) a new bulb, was told this would be done - it never was). The shower was mouldy in the the corners (but it was a good shower), also nowhere to put soap etc when showering. Overall the room was however comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities less than generous.
At breakfast, the toast with the full English was only toasted on one side!! The unusual Continental breakfast had cheese and biscuits, a piece of ham and a croissant, no jam until requested and no toast. At the next table their jam when it was requested included a small packet which was already half used, their tea for two was not sufficient to fill two cups! Fruit juices arrive half filled with ice (cheaper than juice?) Overall the staff were very friendly but in need of some training - delivery is all!! Would I recommend this place to a friend, just about!!

My son & partner stayed for one night . Confusion which room that had been allocated .The heating went off during a very cold night . Duvet inadequate . No staff available to contact. Although relatively new the ensuite shower already looks 'tired' and heated towel rail was leaking. A number of lamps in the corridors need replacing.

We have just arrived back from 1 night stay here. We were given a very small but clean double room. All the usual room facilities with a free view tv. The bath room could do with some kind of shelving to put toilteries though. We had a meal in the hotel which was really nice and reasonable. My partner had a sizzler which in his opinion is the best he has had (he has had a few) The cheese board comes highly recomended and more than enough for 2 people. Tarvin is a small village with a busy fish and chip shop, 3 pubs and a few small local shops. We will definatly return soon but may be only stay for 1 night due to the small room size.

i found this to be a nice hotel, the food was lovely and a bargain for £10.95 per person for 2 courses. Very busy with friendly staff, however, after arriving back after a day out i noticed that the chair had been taken from the room, i found this to be strange and when i went and enquired with the staff I was told that sometimes the chairs were taken from the rooms if the restaurant was particularly busy!!! I had to ask for it to be put back to enable me to use my laptop. The chinese at the top of the road was also lovely and the staff very friendly. One other small complaint, we stayed for 2 nights and only got tea and coffee for the second day - no biscuits :(
