We had booked this hotel in the morning, we were already away from home and remembered
the pictures on the internet, on the hotel web site. I can assure you it doesn't look as nice
in real life. The hotel looked terrible as I walked down the road to it, but I thought I would
give it the benifit of doubt and go in. The first thing the girl wanted was money, I'm not
surprised!, you certainly wouldn't pay afterwards. I asked to see the room and it just got
worse. I guess the only good thing I can say is that the position is good.
Needless to say we didn't stay there.

There's a reason this hotel was the only one in Lulworth that had vacanies!! Small rooms, toilet & taps that don't work, noisy neighbours & Staff that won't help & manager & owner "not available" & never return phone calls. Car Park is nowhere near Hotel.Thankfully only had to endure one night, also it's grossly over priced and no refunds so go elsewhere. I thought Fawlty Towers was in Torquay not Lulworth.

Stayed at the beach house yesterday 22 September 2011. Stayed in room 20, view over the cove, really lovely room, Nice and clean and lovely fresh bed linen. Was greeted on arrival by the owner who was a very pleasant and friendly lady. Its not the Marriot hotel, its a lovely english seaside bed and breakfast so those of you who are expecting five star trappings, go to a five star hotel, this is a decent 3 star gem. Food was lovely and the service was great.
Nearly as lovely as my gorgeous man!!!!!!!

We booked from the site of Bishops Cottage but on arrival were given a room in The Beach House Hotel, room 23 was so tiny and uncomfortable I would never go back the stair case goes through the side of the room so all footsteps on the wooden floors echo through this room, the room should really be a single but they have squashed a double bed inside, which means you cannot walk around the bed and have to crawl over your partner in the night to get out to use the toilet. The toilet did not flush properly, and took on average 3-4 attempts the shower was inadequate and the hose was split the bath plug was broken and if you wanted to make a hot drink the only place you could put the kettle was on the already tight for space floor... If you wanted to watch TV in bed you could not pull the curtains and the TV was situated on the window sill. If you wanted to go outside at all you had to go through the restaurant in view of all the diners, which was a surpise to us and probably to them . So please be aware, WHAT YOU BOOK IS NOT WHAT YOU GET ..... BISHOPS COTTAGE WEBSITE HAS DIFFERENT ROOMS SHOWN SO I FEEL THIS IS IMPROPER ADVERTISING .
