Forgotten how many trips to BMV now but yet again had an excellent time Oct 2011. We return to BMV in 7 weeks time (hurray!) and again beginning of October, both trips 21 nights. We always stay in a mini villa. They are comfortable and very clean, either twin or double beds on a mezzanine level with bedside cabinets and a chaise longue and downstairs is the shower room/toilet and the living area with a sofabed, desk and chair, wardrobe/drawers, TV and refridgerator/cupboard. All rooms have air conditioning (warm/cool), TV, kettle and cups/saucers, hair dryer, direct dial telephone and a mini bar, which came into being during our March 2011 visit. The villas have a decent sized patio area with table and chairs, outside light and an airer for towels/smalls etc.
The food is excellent with a very wide choice. I have heard one or two people complain but they have been with the Solo groups who are booked on a half board basis and because there can be 40 people all at the same time, they have a separate evening menu, still with plenty of choice however. Their complaints should be with Solo not BMV. Breakfast is nice and relaxing because you are served at your table (no queuing at a buffet!) and once again there is a very wide choice available, both hot and cold.
BMV is ideally suited to couples (no children policy) who want a peaceful, relaxing holiday, not those who want to be in disco's and loud, noisy bars. That is catered for in Girne hotels. Due to the hotel being on a steep hillside it has lots of steps so once again I will warn that it is not suited to those with mobility problems.
The staff are brilliant, second to none, always friendly and attentive but always up for a laugh and a joke. Any problems are soon sorted. We can't wait to get back to our "second sweet home" and be with our "friends/family".
