“A tapestry of colorful delight! Taste, feel, sound and joy in the very fiber of Galilee.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

A wonderful taste of a thoroughness and community effort! Beautiful location, jaw dropping views and full of Biblical and Political significance. Scrupteous food and lovely dinning room with inspiring views. Facilities very well presented and planned. Roomy rooms :-) and such a spacious feel of walk ways, balconies and privacy. Perfect architectual concept for location. A warm privelege to see real people of all ages involved and participating in helping guest have a complete experience in this premises! Galilee in front, historic mountains behind!

“Kibbutz OwnedHotel on Sea of Galilee”

My husband and I and his brother and wife spent 3 nights at this Kibbutz owned Resort on the Sea of Galilee. We have family that lives on Kibbutz Ein Gev just 1/2 mile down the road. I highly reccomend this hotel. While the rooms are basic, you do have internet and flat screen TVs. There is a beach with hammocks and chaise lounges you can walk to. We had ants in the kitchen the day we arrived but that was because we recieved a gift basket filled with chocolate and goodies. The ant problem was promply resolved. Our room was a hotel room but was large and had a small kitchen. There are view rooms and cottages available. Breakfast is a buffet with a wide assortment of food . The sea is freshwater and not cold. A not to miss dinner place is th Fish Restaurant on Kibbutz Ein Gev

Room Tip: View Rooms have sea view

“Great location and beach”

Cottages on the beach are a must-stay. Clean and comfortable with grassy areas all around for lounging or cooking on the grill. Gentle sea breezes cool the evenings. Meals in common dining hall are definitely satisfactory.

Sometimes difficult to get reservations, but managed to luck out on a moment's notice. Very nice restaurant also run by the kibbutz and tours of the kibbutz also available.

Beach used to be quite rocky, but the last time I stayed there, it was sandy! Much nicer. Also, be prepared to take some beautiful pictures of the sun as it sets behind the mountains across the Sea of Galilee.

“Fabulous location, clean and simple accommodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2009

Stayed this side of Lake Tiberias as all the inns were full in Tiberias itself (well, it is traditional at Christmas!). Very glad we did as it was lovely. We had little bungalow chalets with a large double bed, wardrobe,TV and seating area, plus a separate bedroom for the children, with bunk beds and a single. There was a kitchenette with kettle, huge fridge freezer and 2 gas rings to cook on. You have to ask at reception for cooking utensils but they were delivered swiftly with no fuss, as was extra bedding as it was cold the first night (Heater/airconditioner was noisy).
Breakfast was the normal fare for this part of the world (meats, yoghurts and bread) but they did offer hot food which varied from day to day, omelette and scrambled egg, french toast and there was a toaster.
Everything is basic with no frills but is clean and servicable. It is an easy drive from here to circuit the lake to Tiberias, and Nazareth, Tel Aviv, Acre (Akko), and Haifa are all easily a day trip. We thoroughly enjoyed just messing around in and on the lake too as the setting is marvellous and even in late Dec the weather was 22 degrees C.
