I stayed in Kamala dreams in Feb2011. It was an enjoyable experience. Small, clean, quite, un-intrusive, unpretentious and lovely place where you feel quite at home. Good restaurant with excellent sea food. They were able to offer me an early check in and a very late checkout. I enjoyed my stay. And I would he happy to recommend this place.

We stayed in Kamala Dreams for 2 nights. The rooms are spacious and clean, but also very expensive for what you get for Thailand principles. We stayed in much nicer accomodation in Phuket for almost half ot this money (same holiday). The room price was even higher than the very fancy and luxury resorts we stayed in during this holiday. Plus the supervisor of the staff was extremely grumpy.

We only spent a few nights here but really enjoyed the hotel - the rooms are spacious, clean and have balconies that overlook the pool and the ocean. the balconies are all a bit close and in view of each other but the nice thing was that the front of the room that goes on to the balcony are all huge sliding doors with tinted glass and done very well to provide privacy without always having to close the curtains.
The breakfasts were okay - not a huge choice but perfectly adequate and the lunches which can be served in the hotel restaurant or on the beach restaurant were very good. We didnt eat dinner at the hotel but it seems popular and the food looked really good.

We didnt swim directly in front of the resort as there is a pretty disgusting litte river flowing in there so we walked further up the beach to cleaner water but it is a good price for a sea view and close proximity and access to the beach.
Great little hotel - and I say little as there are only about 18 rooms - nice and personal.

We found the pool to be quite adequate but then we didnt have kids with us - it could be small if you have a bunch of kids - but we loved a dip in the pooll in the afternoons.

It has free internet but you have to sit in the dining area to get it and have your own computer.
The room had a little kitchenette but strangely, no kettle to make tea or coffee but we found most of the hotels we stayed in while in thailand did not provide kettles...

we are an familly of five persons. (kids: boy 7, girl 10, girl 11)
we traveled whit a big familly. my sisters familly (kids boy 11, girl 12)
and our parents.

after trolling the nett in february 2010, we came ower this nice familly owned hotel in kamala beach.
short to the beach, ( exelent service and good food as well).
good rewies from other travlers was imoportant, near shooping and restaurants also
swimmingpool. whit 5 kids it also needed to be safe.

normaly when we are reading about hotels we ar going to, the text on home pages are cuite difrent from our experience. on this hotel, we got what we expexted and more!
good clean roms and a helpfull staf. we stayed for 23 days, the kids was happy.

the only thing i did not like, was the earlier rewiew from " simply not god enough"
i was afraid that we may be had ordered a bad hotel! may be that travler was an world champion? i dont know, but i mostly think he have ben on an other hotel and mistaken the name. We had an exelent hollyday, and have no problems to recomend this hotel for
any travlers, old, young, singel or big family like ours!
we hope to come back next year!

that family must have stayed in our room. and i agree in all his good writing.
