Thank Heavens for Amerika Hotel! I found this place on tripadvisor when I was desperate to get out of our reservation at the Radisson Blu in Aalborg. We checked out of our disgusting room at the Radisson and headed to this unlikely location for a good hotel. You go through an industrial/commercial area and a funny little residential area to get to the woods at the end of the road before you see the hotel. If the Hobro location works for you, this is a great alternative to the run-down hotels of Aalborg. For less money, the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nice (ours had a lovely whirlpool tub). They did not have wash cloths, however, but perhaps that's just an American thing. Parking is free and right outside the hotel. Most rooms have balconies. The breakfast was good - not the most plentiful I had while in Denmark, but a basic good breakfast in a lovely setting.
I did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but it is a favorite with locals and it was filled the nights we were there so I assume it is good.
