Stayed three nights at Seaview Patnem in February 2011. Paid INR1,500 for a double room. It was clean, reasonably spacious and comfortable. While the place was run pretty efficiently compared to other places in India, the owner was not particularly friendly.

The attached restaurant served decent food and good masala chai. The staff there were friendly.

We took the tour that Seaview Patnem offered – to a spice plantation, Palolem, and Colba beach and we thoroughly enjoyed it. While it possibly may have been more expensive than if we had done it ourselves, it was nice to not have the hassle of arranging the details.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but thought that the price was slightly high for what it was.

This is our second stay at the Seaview Hotel in Patnem. The hotel is very nice and clean and has a wide set of rooms with different standards. The only problem with this hotel is unfortunately its management. They are unwilling, unhelpful and should not have come in to business in the first place. If one "can live" with this, this hotel is a good choice on the must precious beach in Goa. Important to say though is that the Sea View has no seaview...

Seaview (without the sea view!) is a good place to stay in the Palolem area of Goa. Its a short walk away from Patnem beach which is beautiful and a short drive from the nearby beach resort of Palolem. The room we had was very spacious and we were suprised to have a kitchenette with a fridge which was a bonus. The young guy that works there was very sweet and helpful. We stayed 6 nights and only had our room serviced once? which we thought was a bit odd, we could have done with a change of towels and bedding due to the heat. The owner did not seem as helpful in comparison to the reviews on here, he did not appear to be around very much either-maybe as the place was not busy so he was not as bothered. he was not clear on the 'airport shuttle' he booked and sprung the charge on us when we came to collect our bags at night (when we had checked out and paid that morning) it would have been cheaper to of just gotten a pre-paid taxi from the airport which is around 1300 rupees instead of the 1500 rupees he charged us including for a/c that my boyfriend did not have, which the owner argued he did.

Very clean spacious rooms AC/nonAC/kitchenette. Clean sheets and towels everyday. Solar energy. Nice balconies with view over coconut trees and green field. A lovely concert every night performed by grasshoppers and frogs. Squirls in the trees. Very quiet place with Patnem Beach just around the corner. Close to Palolem Beach. Chai shop near by with very friendly staff and cheap Indian breakfast.
I was staying during monsoon, when the restaurant was closed. But on demand they served three meals a day. Eddy, the son of the owners, is a very nice and reliable chap. He can pick you up from the airport and drives you where ever you want to go. No hidden surprises.
