“Fantastic views, great room & wonderful hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2011

My wife and I travelled down from Hobart for 2 nights at Storm Bay. We stayed in the Bay View Room, which was lovely. The room had beautiful views across the bay, from the private balcony. The room also had a large ensuite bathroom with double spa bath, which was a great way to relax after a busy day exploring the Tasman Penninsula. Breakfast on the deck, off the main room was a treat as was the nightcap left out for our return in the evenings! The owners are lovely & make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. We will definitely be booking another visit to Storm Bay guest house.

“Wonderful place one of the highlights of our trip to Tassie”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

We booked last minute & were welcomed like family. We cannot speak highly enough of the hospitality & friendly reception we received from both Gary & Bev. FANTASTIC view from the deck, over two bays with a sunset that will stay with us forever. Breakfast was above & beyond a continental breakfast served with fresh fruit, yogurt and great coffee. This is a truly a magical place.

“The best value for money in the Tasman Peninsula”

After a long drive South, we were warmly welcomed to our Cragganmore Cottage by the owner. Secluded and quiet, the cottage had a warm and cosy atmosphere that helped us instantly feel relaxed. Staying in other self contained hotels on our trip, we were fully prepared with cutlery, plates, frypans etc. We were pleased to find a fully stocked kitchenette, with everything we could possibly need (even a BBQ, glad-wrap, tea towels, kitchen paper and much more!). Our kitchen equipment stayed in the car. A log fire in addition to the electric heater kept the place warm.
The view was no where near as good as the upper rooms, but still the ocean was clearly visible.
Coming to the area every few years for diving and walks, we have never stayed in a self contained cottage that could match the value for money. We will definitely come back and highly recommend the cottage.

“Wonderful hospitality with beautiful views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2011

I stayed at Storm Bay with my 13yr old son who loved the atmosphere. The hosts are very genuine, helpful and accommodating. The two types of freshly baked bread at breakfast were lovely. The living area is very comfortable looking out to the big deck with generous tables and chairs affording magnificent views. A beautiful spot.

“Bargain at $99 with breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2010

Stayed here during a night at the Port Author Ghost Tour. Only a few minutes from the historical site and had great panoramic views of the ports, oceans and mountain ranges.

It was very cheap at $99 as we got it last minute and included a continental breakfast. Breakfast was simple and quick but after a week of cooked breakfasts we were happy with the home made breads, fresh fruit, juice and cereals.

As we went in winter it was not the greatest of times for southern Tasmania. The room only had a small fan heater and was very cold through the night. The bed was small the sheets and blankets very thin.

Overall it was good the price and we were happy with the bargain.
