“We loved the Romantica Pucci”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2008

My husband and I stayed at the Romantica Pucci last week and it was magnificent! The rooms are beautifully decorated, bathrooms very nice and the bed extra comfortable. Pucci served us a lovely breakfast, and spent lots of time talking with us about what sites to see and how best to get there. The food was wonderful, and Pucci is a delight. Rather than just telling us where to park our car, she hopped in and guided us there! Romantica Pucci was a highlight of our Italian adventure.

“Pucci the Perfiect Hostess”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2008

Our stay at Romantica Pucci could not have been more enjoyable. Pucci accomodated our family of 4 in one huge room and we all thoroughly appreciated all the thoughtful details and comfort after spending a whole week in a very spartan convent in Rome for the same price!. We were greeted warmly by Pucci who promptly delivered waters and a beauftiful tray of cookeis to our room. She offered us us of her extensive bar for avery minimal charge.. She served us breakfast early because we had to leave early for an early flight and there was a huge selection of food for all of us to enjoy. We could not have felt more pampered. Pucci is a perfect hostess and we were so grateful that we decided to leave Rome early and visit Civita di Bagnareggio..

“Wonderful host and hostess”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2007

My husband and I had the same wonderful experience as the previous reviewers. We can't add much except to say that it's easy and fun to get to Bagnoregio from Orvieto via the bus. We had the best two nights sleep in our very comfortable bed. Also, we were lucky enough to enjoy one of Lamberto's dinners and two of Pucci's breakfasts. We also got some cooking tips that we plan to try out.

“Absolutely the best, from bed to breakfast.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2007

Imagine going to your favorite aunt’s home and that she is really pleased to have you visit. Imagine she is your favorite because she wants you to have a wonderful visit, be comfortable and feel welcome and that she will treat you like her favorite guest. Meet Pucci.

Imagine a lovely 700 year old building remodeled into a comfy inn, with enough of the old for interest, but updated with all new surfaces, lovely interior design, charming and well-decorated. You are here.

On arrival, we were greeted by Pucci herself, the perfect charming hostess who helped us with orientation, luggage and parking, and brought ice, glasses, cookies and water to our room on a tray. She also advised us on restaurants and sight seeing and was right on target. Her breakfast was the best we ever had in Italy, with eggs made to order, fruits, homemade jams, and many delightful Italian breads and pastries, a delicious pot of coffee and hot milk. It was scrumptious.

We often have a bottle of wine to relax in the evening, and Pucci greeted us every afternoon on our return with the tray, delivered to our room, with generous ice, wine glasses and snacks. We usually brought wine, but learned the last day that she has a good supply of reasonably priced excellent local wines. Pucci gave us maps, advice, directions, and when we could not find a restaurant, she jumped into her car and led us in ours to the place.

Hotel Romantica Pucci is a day-drive to Assisi, Todi and Orvieto, all legendary Italian historical cities and very much worth a visit, in spite of the tourists. These are extraordinary places.

We highly recommend this hotel as a perfect stop for several days while exploring the area.

“An unforgettable stay!”

What can I say about this place, other than you must go for a visit! My wife and I learned about this little town in a travel magazine and it was the inspiration for our vacation in Italy. We stayed from Sept. 13th - 16th.

First about the hotel. Romantica Pucci is a fabulous little B&B with the best hostess, period! Pucci (the hostess) is a fabulous lady with a great sense of style and fashion. She is very interesting and knows how to take care of her guests. Her breakfast is the best spread I have ever encountered in a B&B. Pucci will even cook up a large plate of eggs and bacon if you like. Her homemade jellies were awesome, too! Because of some problems in her kitchen, we weren't able to experience her dinners, but based on the breakfasts, I'm sure they are fantastic!

The rooms are very well decorated and maintained (the building itself is over 700 years old!). I was definitely impressed with the room and bathroom; they far exceeded our expectations! Romantica Pucci is a perfect place to enjoy a nice, quite, and relaxing getaway.

While you are there make sure Pucci directs you to the restaurant overlooking Civita di Bagnoregio for dinner (Hostaria del Ponte). It will be an unforgettable experience! It was some of the best food we enjoyed during our 2 week trip through Italy.

I would recommend staying for at least 2 full days so you can explore the decaying Etruscan town of Civita di Bagnoregio (reached by walking the footbridge from Bagnoregio) and Orvieto with its beautiful duomo (reached by bus from Bagnoregio).

Thanks again to Pucci (and her husband for the drive back to the train station). Our stay at Romantica Pucci will be for ever remembered!
