Recently returned from a break in Borgue with our 17 year old son and two dogs,the whole experience from initial booking to the end of our last minute break was 5 star the initial welcome and local advise from Shirley and Vnce was invaluable as we had not visited the area before,The Breakfast is amazing and very special and better than any 4 star hotel we have stayed in The Evening meals are also very good and value for money,also having the bar on site is rather handy.
Our dogs were also made to feel wellcome and advise was given on the local dog walks
Would recomend this small hotel to anyone even our son enjoyed the stay

We received a very warm welcome here, and that included our two dogs too. Room was lovely and nothing too much trouble. Would definitely go again.

Quiet village pub in Brogue near Kirkcudbrite (pro. kir-coobri) which is the nearest hotel to Knockbrex Castle.

It has three delighful en-suite rooms. Owned by a lovely couple - Shirley and Vince and their amusing dog 'Viking'.

This is a wonderful establishment, spotlessly clean, great food including bar snacks

Customer services second to none, Shirley also volunteered her services as chaufeusse to take us to a friend's wedding at nearby Knockbrex Castle AND collected us well after midnight!

This is 5star treatment in a 2star rated hotel.
