“Food not edible”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

I have been to many places in Greece fully inclusive and I do not expect the very best at the price paid for this particuliar holiday. I do expect to be able to eat some thing even at breakfast. Flies in bread holder. Flies in the honey pot No cloth to cut the stale bread hence everyone hands on it. Food not kept hot, without covers been left on ,flies on food. Cold meats were warm. What happend to food hygiene?, What happend to the chef? Bathroom couldnt move in. Room never cleaned. Bed comfortable. The lift was a dirty hole. Staff lovely. Such a shame as the resort was ok and near to the sea.

“Great Hotel for Couples!”

Just returned form a weeks stay at the Jupiter Hotel! Luckily it was a last minute booking, so I did not have time to read any of the reviews before I left! There where quite a few people complaining about the food while we where there, but funnily enough it was 'Greek'food, as we where on a Greek Island! But then again, they did even complain there was not a McDonalds near by!! Ok, breakfast everyday served the same food, but there is plenty of choice, so you dont have to eat the same thing everyday!
I found lunches where the nicest, always a pasta dish, salad, and pizza. And everning meals, there was always a variety of meat dishes, and soup to start with. Peter the bar man, is lovely, not miserable at all, I think he may have just become a bit bored of all the complaints he kept receiving, when he is an employee of the hotel, not management!
The location is perfect, at the end of the main strip, which I am sure is very busy during peak season. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away, and is all sand, no shingles, and you can walk out into the sea for miles! I would reccomend a day at freddys bar on the beach, and the cost of 2 sunbeds, and umberella is only €6. Overall we had a lovely couples holiday, and would definitely go back to Zante, and the Jupiter Hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the pool on the 1st floor. Because of the late season, we had no noise for...

“Food is awful”

food is not edible not only is hot food cold ... cold food warm. The juice is the worse i have ever tasted, the bread has no napkins to cover it and cut so all hands are all over it slicing it. the all inclusive is a joke where the drinks are concerned too bar stops at 10.30 and when you have had to go out to eat it was around 10 ish when you got back to be greeted by the most miserable barman in the world who wouldnt serve you. As far as entertainment there was none , pool was freezing and full of flies wasps and god knows what else please save your money go self catering and then eat at many of the beautiful restaruants out and about .. highly recommend Giorgio's, stamanas and popeyes beautiful food

Room Tip: dont go book some where else

“Disappointing Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

We arrived at this hotel as part of a last minute B+B deal. The room was good with a large double bed, ensuite facilities, air conditioning and a poolside view. The real disappointment came at breakfast. Looking forward to fresh fruit with Greek yoghurt and honey we were confronted with a huge bowl of tinned fruit salad alongside some yoghurt and honey. We did complain to the tour rep who did make it known to the hotel. The next morning we encountered the same huge bowl containing some chopped up tinned peaches and what looked like a small amount of fresh melon. It was still rubbish. We started buying our own fruit from the shop down the road and taking this in to breakfast, sitting there chopping the fruit up at the table. The hotel has staff that do prepare some elements of the breakfast but the ability to do fresh fruit eludes them. The source of the problem is the hotel catering for a large all inclusive trade where volume seems to take precedence over quality. This was a general grumble amongst those we spoke to. One couple were on the all inclusive deal and reckoned breakfast was the best meal of the day! Another couple used their spending money to go and eat in town, consequently they did not go on any excursions. In short the accommodation and location are fine just don't eat there.
We know we arived late in the season but we did have difficulty finding two sunbeds that were intact

Room Tip: ask for a poolside view

This hotel made our day as we were looking for a room at 10pm in the evening when we found it. It is a very decent place to stay for a short period of time
