I managed to get a deal off eNewsletter from Meriton (worth subscribing) for the stay here. At $109 ...good value for Sydney. We are staying for 3 nights and received an upgrade to the 13th floor (I thought they removed 13 numbering from hotels...but nevermind!) The appartment has a fantastic city view on three levels. It's a bit of a trek up and down the stairs....but worth it. The appartment is well appointed in the usual Meriton style and very functional. Watch out if your however having a late or very early shower as the hot water takes a while to arrive.

I was originally apprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews posted here, but after my stay I have only high praise for this hotel. I arrived quite early, but the two very friendly young ladies at reception said that my room was ready.

The room (626) was a 1800 ft2, 2 level, 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom, with a full kitchen, laundry, living room and dining room - all overlooking the river. The room was nicely decorated, with a large flat-panel tv in the living room. Each level had its own terrace.

Parking is underground for $20/day.

The river catamaran ferry to Sydney stops roughly 100ft from the back door of the complex. A ride to town costs less than $7 and takes about an hour - well worth it! From Circular Quay you can also take the train back if it's late in the evening, from which it's about a 10 minute walk back to the hotel.

There's plenty to keep you amused within a short walk.

I will definitely stay here again!

I stayed in the 1 bedroom appartment for 2 nights. The good news is that everything was clean. The 'living area' was small with far too much furniture for the limited space.
My 2 key items on a short business trip are 1. the bed and 2. the shower. Unfortunately both were 'under par' in the Meriton Parramatta. The 'king bed' was a poor quality combination of 2 single beds, not very comfortable. The bathroom was poorly layed out with the shower in the bathtub. Due to limited space it was akward to get into the shower. The showerhead was fixed at about the height of my chin and had to bend my knees to get under it and trying to get wet. I'm 6f6 but there's no excuse for having a showerhead that low or if it has to be, use a handshower. Therefore a pretty average overall score for the Meriton Parramatta.

We found this place on the trip advisor and were extremely happy with it. On arrival I was greeted by a very helpful staff member at reception. We had a 2 level apartment, with 2 bedrooms and view over the city facing the famous bridge. I could not fault the cleanliness of this place (trust me I tried but it was great) Just outside the buildings doors is a great restaurant "Port" which I highly recommend. Great size meals for reasonable prices, friendly staff, overlooking the Parramatta Ferry wharf. We chose this location because we have a new car and didn't envy driving it through Sydney to visit the Opera house and Taronga Zoo. We were able to leave our car locked up in a secured underground locked car park and take the Ferry to both the Opera house and Taronga zoo, all for just one ticket purchase. (Family day pass) We extended our stay for 2 nights at the last minute which was no dramas. All of my enquiries about how to get around with public transport were fulfilled by the staff at reception. I would recommend the Meriton to all, my Husband & I expect clean, comfortable, reasonalbe priced accomodation when on holidays and this is what we got. We were surprised with how big the bedrooms were and the two bathrooms. Our two kids had heaps of space to spread out and unwind from our road trip. Please consider the Meriton on your visit to Sydney, especially if you want peace of mind for your vehicle, and want to enjoy the views and relaxation of the Ferry rides. This will be a definate stop over for us in the future:)
