Having left our son with the Grandparents for the first time, we escaped to San Jose. We'd been to San Jose before but not in this hotel. We hadn't booked and they were more than welcoming. They went to great trouble to explain everything to us in English and were so helpful.

The hotel itself is very swish but relaxing. Our room was overlooking the garden although to be honest we could mainly see the back of a building and an aircon unit but that didn't spoil it for us.

I would definitely recommend it. The swimming pool was very long and they have a free internet cafe which was always available and fast. There is parking but you have to pay a few euros for using it. We did pay as there was no more parking on the roads.

They also offered us free tea/coffee and cakes mid afternoon. Perfect!

The room had a huge bed in it, good shower and bath, fridge and stereo. I could imagine staying in the hotel for a longer period would be comfortable.

Spent three nights in this hotel at the beginning of a 2 week trip around Andalucia.
What a treat! The staff were lovely & the rooms were really clean. The hotel pool is long and narrow but perfect for a dip to cool down. In a good location about 5 mins walks from the main restaurant and the beach. The staff don't impose themselves on you yet are always quick to help if you need anything. The afternoon snacks (coffee, tea, cakes, nuts & crisps) are a lovely touch. The hotel is really well decorated - boutique & modern. Plus there is a great tapas place right next door - look out for the Antonio Banderas lookalike with the piercing blue eyes! Water coolers are all around the hotel. If you can't be bothered to make your own sandwiches but fancy a light lunch - ask them to make you up the picnic hamper - simple but effective. Would definately go back & have recommended it to everyone I know.

After a long day out in the sun it is reassuring to have a good place to sleep. Clean rooms with air conditioning that works very well. Centrally located so that you can reach everything on foot at night. A small swimming pool that might be useful when it is very very hot, but it doesn't have a garden or a big open space where people can relax.

The MC is a great hotel: modern, clean, good value, with anything you would need to have some relaxing days exploring the Cabo de Gata natural park and its beaches...just perfect! The hotel provides you with beach towels, sun umbrellas (really crucial, as the sun can get very strong!), and you can even order a picnic for your day at the beach (for 7 euros). The hotel is formed by various buildings (two floors high), and it looks more like a quaint village than a "normal" hotel. In addition, you can walk into the city centre (just a 5 min walk).
There is free internet access (perfect to print out your boarding cards), sauna (where you can also take a shower after you have made check out and you are back from the beach...so you can get "fresh" in the plane!), massage service, coffee time (free of charge! with home made cakes between 5 and 6 pm daily), and good breakfast (although with no warm dishes).
The rooms have got a balcony, TV with plenty of channels, CD player, and the pool is small, but quite long (so you can swim around!).
All in all, it is a great hotel, and, as mentioned on the title of my review, we are already looking for flights to go back to the MC!
