We took the last minute travel vacation deal to Mallorca and this was our hotel. Hotel was ok with nice pool area. We spend lot of time in the the pool area, because near beach was windy. Staff were very friendly and there was organised programs every evening (some competitions like music quiz etc.) If you don´t scare to see how the ants spare their time( on balcony) by running around the walls this is very good choice for you.

we booked this holiday 3 days before went and were half board. we went for 5 days.
well when we first arrived we went to the room and the balconey door would not open, so we complained and got another room it was clean very basic and was badley needing an upgrade.we had a double balconey which was handy at night , 2 very uncomfurtale single beds and a couch bed. On the first nnight we went for dinner at the hotels restaraunt and we were told it was 2 euro and 50 cent just for 1 glass of juice,wine ect. but we could get the drinks at the bar for a lot cheaper,the food was disgusting and looked very dry ,there was a good selection but we just stuck to the salad. the desserts were very good and there was a good selection.at breakfast time they ha\d boiled eggs and i swear they were the same as the day before!!!!!!!! i would saythat the location is very good and close to the beach and small shops. the entertainment was the best thing about the hotel, Emma was very good and very friendly and always tried to get everyone involved. Margareet at the reception was also very friendly and very helpful she helped us with a few issues we had on the way there. overall i suggest be self catering as there is alot of good reatarants nearby i highly reccomend "dakota steak house" the maid service was also terrible as we only got our rooms cleaned once out the hole 5 days!

After being relocated to the Rio Mar a week prior to our holiday (from the Club Mac) we were not particularly happy about it, however we had a great time. The hotel is very clean, the staff were very friendly, and the food catered for all tastes. The pool area was pleasent, and clean, and the entertainment was decent. The two activity organisers Emma, and Alexandra were lovely and very good with both adults and the children. While i understand the Rio Mar is a different standard to the Club Mac, i wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. In reflection the Rio Mar is situated in a far nicer area, and a lot closer to the beach.

Stayed at this hotel on a self catering basis for 1 week in early September for a cheap last minute getaway.

Generally we are out and about exploring rather than being the sort of people that spend time at the hotel, so overall we had a lovely holiday, but I would not recommend staying at this particular hotel.

The rooms are dated, tired and basic, but clean and functional. It's a typical cheap 'Aparthotel' with equally dreary communal areas, none of which we really wanted to spend any time sitting in.

It is well located for the beach, although it's more like 400m than 150m away and across a main road. There are some bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance, but the main area of Alcudia is at least a 30 minute walk away, with the Port area itself an additional 20 minutes further.

Over the course of our 7 day stay we walked about 9km of the glorious beach and there are so many other much nicer places to stay!
