We discovered this place almost by accident when a lot of hotels we would normally stay at were full.
This hotel is set in lovely parkland and located in a very quiet area. The bedroom was very large with a small bedroom set off it and a very modern bathroom. We had the top floor (attic) of an old house. Other people staying also commented on the largish rooms. The furniture is quite old and very french. Not to everyone's taste although we liked it. There is a small sitting room for the guests.
The restaurant is in two rooms, one smoking and one non-smoking. However noone was smoking the night we were there. The food was good and their speciality is the Geline de Touraine, a local chicken. Prices were reasonable and there was a good wine list.
As a previous reviewer said, the portions are more on the nouvelle cuisine side rather than generous but with 4 courses on the set menu this did not worry me too much! I would probably stay here again.
