My family and I booked to stay with the Talay (formally Ramada) for 10 nights and it was a nightmare.

Nothing was good about this resort and here's a list of some of our problems - When we arrived at the resort there was pungent smell that was very unpleasant, the keycard to our room didn't work and there was no light outside the door to see to put a key in, our towels had holes in them, the floor was straight concrete which was dangerously slippery, there were electrical cables hanging out of the walls and ceiling, some of the beds had dirty sheets on them, the beds were terribly hard and the room was nothing like the photos advertised.

On top of that, the main pool is in dire need of repair, the resturant where breakfast is served is not clean, when we cooked toast it came out with mouse pooh on it, the planks around the pool were dangerous to walk on........and the list goes on.

My advice to you is "DO NOT SUBJECT YOUR FAMILY TO THIS RESORT!"

On a brighter note, the resort is meant to undergo a full renovation in mid 2011 so until then do you family a favour and stay at the Courtyard Marriott which is where we moved to after 1 night and this was fantastic in every way.

Positive - free wireless, ok breakfast, free water

Negative - very old, grotty and not looked after at all, room aircon is loud and hardly working, the gym if falling apart.

This is in my opinion a hotel with a maximum score of 2 star. We would not return to this hotel.

We checked in and then checked out all within two hours........the rooms are feral, old, skanky, musky.....dives! We had the kids adventure room and it was hot and old, the stairs are very unsafe and i am not a worrying mother.
The food service at the pool......there was none! overpriced priced and the food was discusting my kids wouldn't even eat the chips!
The staff were nice but stay elsewhere, we called the Sheraton and booked a pool access room at it is amazing everything a holiday should be.

We had booked in for 10 nights, We stayed one night and checked out. It is run down. We could not sleep as the bed was hard, pillows felt as if they were 20 years old and the road noise was very loud. There are wooden decks around that are falling apart and in places had been stepped through. On the first day we thought we would get our kids a sandwich, it took 45 minutes for it and 2 coffees to arrive.
Also when we did check out, they refused to give us our money back, so one nights stay cost alot, but it was worth it, just not to be there. It is a DUMP.
Do yourself a favour and JUST DON'T!!!!!
