“Would Definately return!”

My boyfriend and I stayed in a room on the ground floor overlooking the pool. It was great as we didn't have to think about taking the stairs or bringing down towels, hats, books, sunnies, as we could easily walk to our room when we needed.

The pool was perfect temperature and we couldn't resist it. There was a great vibe in the surroundings and the people, it felt very comfortable and relaxing.

People were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was the best one we saw from all 3 resorts we stayed in. It had very fresh food in a very clean area. The whole resort was very well kept and clean.

The bed and pillows were stiff, but this was the same in the other resorts.

It was a 5 minute walk from the beach which was a bit of a smelly and yucky walk, which was the only negative of the resort.

Overall it was our favorite resort.

“Nice hotel; good value”

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights just before Christmas and were very satisfied. While not luxurious, the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. We had a family suite that was steps away from the pool. This was perfect for our kids. There was no issue with noise, although the hotel was quite full. The breakfast buffet was very good and we found the other meals to be fairly reasonably priced. But for better prices, definitely go outside the hotel (try Eight Steps just across the street). The staff members at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The guys at the pool were great with our kids (played tons of ping pong with them!). Kata beach is lovely but is at least a 10 minute walk from the hotel. One more tip: there are lovely shower rooms near the lobby. We were able to check-out at noon, spend the day at the beach and come back for a shower before leaving at 8pm for the airport.

“Not so nice end for a nice stay..”

Amazing hotel for families..but only average for couples.
Staff was mostly great, breakfasts were amazing, bed was soft and I liked our room (which was near the spa..very quiet!).
We did spend a lovely holiday in this hotel, but I must warn you!

We had 3 days left of our stay in the hotel and we noticed that our mini-bar fridge (from which we never took anything..because it was much cheaper to buy from seven eleven) was missing 2 orangejuices..didn't really think any of it..maybe the cleaning staff had a need of them in some other room and would replace them soon..? Our understanding also was that the staff has to check the mini-bar every day.
So when we went for our checkout in the morning, they told us that we had taken some soft drinks from the mini-bar, and that we'd have to pay them before leaving. We were absolutely baffled by this accusation and refused to pay anything, as we knew for sure that we had NOT taken those items. They asked as to sign a paper and write that we never used anything from our mini-bar.. Well that wasn't all.. After that we moved to the bus and a staff member runs after as saying that she had a bill for us..they had quickly gone to the room to look into the mini.bar and this time they gave us the bill for the orangejuices (that had been gone for 3days).. again we told them that we didn't take anything.. this time the lady accused us for taking them in to our luggage.. Again we signed a note that nothing was taken from the mini-bar.

This left us in a very bad mood and feeling embarrased for being accused of stealing in front of everyone. In the bus we found out that we weren't the only ones in the same situation.. There were others whom had noticed things like mosquito spray, soda, etc missing..and found them selves paying for things they never took..
I'm glad that, even though it wasn't the biggest amount of money, out of principle we did not pay!

All and all..nice for families, but as a young couple..and after this ordeal, I would not go back.

Room Tip: for quiet room -ask for room near the spa area

“Mid range resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

Resort is good but not outstanding. Breakfasts were fantastic with great range on offer. The pools are the best feature with two good size pools with ample deck chairs. Yes there are a disproportionate number of Scandinavians with tacky tattoos who put their towels out before breakfast...but you still get a spot. Room not bad...could do with free Internet (standard in even the cheapest Vietnamese hotel), and the mattresses are rock (I mean Flinstones) hard. Food is overpriced and doesn't include taxes....go outside for other meals and of course laundry.

Do the Phang Nga tour (amazing canoeing i think) but go outside to book at around 1500 baht for adult. The tour desk and front office in general is a waste of time and think you should get a taxi at 1200 baht to the airport when you walk outside and get one for 800.
