“Very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I enjoyed my 8 nights stay here. Its a clean, affordable, fine little hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated. I liked the low big japanese style bed (futon?). Also the bathroom was well designed with open glass to the room. Bath amenities were nice. So was the big rain shower. I only missed a bathtub, but didnt expect this from a small 4* hotel. TV and WIFI were all good. They also had a nice Apple computer hooked up to the big screen TV in each room.

Restaurant seemed to have a good vibe and was busy every night, but didnt eat their as I prefer the local food carts on the streets, really a joy! Pool was not too big but just very good, just a downside that they closed at 6pm already. Hotel is 5 minutes walk down the street to the beach. Renting a motorbike is also a good idea to visit other beaches or towns easily. Just 200/250 a day. Patong was 10minutes drive. Kata 5 minutes. Can park in front of the hotel for free. All phuket parking is free actually, as far as I know.

Housekeeping, reception and porter staff were all very nice and helpfull. I'd recommend this hotel to my friends and family. If travelling on a larger budget, stay at Hilton Karon Beach.

Room Tip: Reception floor level, so dont have to take stairs.

“Good location, ok basic hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Well located, clean rooms, wifi and air conditiong work well. Very friendly and helpful staff in the reception, breakfast average. Not luxury or a "boutique hotel" (in a way I understand the term) but ok and clean basic hotel. I would not spend my whole holiday here but for the price I think it is ok for a couple of nights stay if you want to be in Karon. One negative thing were the ants in the room.

Room Tip: In the first floor it is better to choose a room that's not facing the pool and restaurant side...

“Perfect stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

This hotel is very nice. It is located at the main road of Karon so it is very central. 5 minutes walk to the beach and a lot of restaurants and bars around.
The first impression after reaching the hotel is very good. Unfortunately the floors are a little bit stinky and hot but therefore the rooms a very nice. All rooms have AC, nice bed, flat screen TV, free Wifi and also an Apple computer inside.
Even if you have an overnight guest it is no problem.

Two bad things are the bathroom and the laundry. In the bathrom the water takes some time to flow away and the quality of the laundry is poor. This should be improved.

Breakfast and restaurant are also good.

“Great Hotel. A few minutes walk to the beach.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

This is a bit late; I stay there April 2010 but rather late then never. Wonderful staff; Excellent stay. Can't say enough about this hotel. Great service. Breakfast was excellent and the staff couldn't help enough.
5 minute walk to Karon Beach. Ride to Banglor Rd. was about 400 baht at max, depending on the night, which was a tad frustrating but at points it could be bargained down. Either way, this hotel is a gem. Would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

“Nice stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

Location –
Almost an hour drive from the airport.
Just few yards away from the beautiful and peaceful Karon Beach.
Nicely situated amidst neat and organized streets of shops/ massage parlors/restaurants/ tour operators which turn quite happening in the evening.
On the left corner of the hotel street, there is a beautiful Buddhist temple.
One can hire a Tuktuk to visit Big Buddha temple (still constructing)and few nearby pagodas. Patong Beach is also not too far and is worth the visit for brand shopping and water sports.

Room – As we had booked a superior room on-line, hence did not have any idea of the room location which turned out to be on the ground level facing hotel pool wall, so we upgraded to deluxe room and moved to the 6th floor.

Room was neat and very nicely done with thoughtful use of wood and bamboo!(Don’t miss the shower area in the pics!)
Best part was free wifi integrated with LCD tv + mac!

Liked –
Cleanliness (crisp white bed sheets/pillow covers, towels etc ) and the amenities including beach bag and slippers.
Bathroom was neat and loaded with all the necessary toiletries in an organized manner. Hair dryer was given.

Disliked –
Bathroom was cramped and had dark tiles.
Bed was literally on the floor resting on a wooden plank. It gave us backache!.
There was no Dressing table/full mirror and luggage area was also missing. Had to keep our suitcases on the floor only!
Style was there but the kinda comfort you look for in a hotel room was absent.

Staff – All the staff members were very polite and helpful.

Breakfast – included, It was OK, as had very little choice so we avoided.

Tips – After landing at Phuket airport try to avoid booking Van. Though the vans are a lot cheaper (180 Baht)than cabs (700 to 800 Baht)but will add few hours more to your journey as first they wait till all the seats are full and then dropping each passenger at their respective hotels consume lot of time.

There is no lift in the hotel and the stairs are high and old fashioned.
Room service is also not prompt!

Room Tip: If claustrophobic,go for a higher floor with an open view. Please note there is NO LIFT in the hotel.
