This is a superb "B&B", which I have put in inverted commas because it's actually like a 5 star country house hotel at a quarter of the price. The house itself is full of history and in a completely tranquil place.
The rooms are elegant, very large, light and airy. The location and grounds glorious.
There are local eateries for dinner both a short car ride away (3 miles or so) or an easy stroll of 3 minutes into the village.
Breakfast is stunning - quite simply the bst we've had anywhere (Pru Leith agrees - and has said so in her own recommendation).
Linda is a tour de force, providing an incredibly welcoming pot of tea and lemon drizzle cake to die for. Plus maps and even reading glasses if yuo forget yours.
We've been twice and cannot wait for our next visit.
