“You must come here!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I can only back up what other people have said about this delightful B and B.

John and Anna are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast (with home made bread) is excellent, and the rooms are spotless and comfortable.

The village pub is a two minute walk away. It is a "proper" pub, frequented by locals, with a warm atmosphere, open fires, very good food and excellent beer!

The location is perfect...you are in the heart of some of the most breathtaking scenery you will ever see.

This truly is a very special place.

“Great base to see the Dales”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

We had 4 nights here and really enjoyed ourselves. The welcome from John and all the family was very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble even when my wife wanted to watch a TV programme because there are no TVs in the rooms the boys (including John) moved out of their 'Den' for us. We were really made to feel part of the family. The breakfast was lovely and there is no need to leave the village for an evening meal as there is a great food pub 2 mins walk away that has a really good choice of reasonably priced high quality food. We had the twin room and it was very spacious indeed. The beds were very comfortable.

Room Tip: The twin room is huge. Bring a nightlight though because it is very dark indeed if you need to move...

“coast to coasters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

fab place. lovely people beautiful room. Wil definatly vist again. So laid back after a hard days walk this is what you need for the hosts to let you get your bearings and these people did just that, then we were given coffee an cake in the cumunal area, what a fantastic room this was.
The breakfast was lovely we had boiled eggs an toast as we not big fans of full english, This was no bother for the man of the house.Homemade bread was delicious which you also get lots of in your pack lunch amongst other goodies.
The local pub is just around the corner serving fab food and drink.
This great place an you can get back on the coast to coast track no problem
Keep up the good work chris and wil

“Fantastic get away for all year”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

We have been coming here now for a good couple of years and can honestly say it is fantastic.

The friendly warm welcome you receive when you arrive is supurb and really adds to the relaxed feel that Bridge House offers.

The bedrooms are well presented and the beds are really comfortable, you also have a lounge area which has a host of games books and other activities to help you unwind after a long days walking.

John and Anna are the perfect hosts and will even offer a packed lunch service for avid walkers (should the supurb breakfast not be enough)

All in all if you want to stay somewhere in the dales that is both well appointed for numberous walks and has a supurb warm feel i believe you cannot got wrong at Bridge House many thanks John and Jayne
