A nice modern 4 star hotel on the marginal (coast) road near Lisbon on the way to Estoril.  Car noise is intense but you are protected by efficient double glazing and adjustable air conditioning. The ocean view from front facing rooms (extra charge) is wonderful. Rooms are a good size as are bathrooms,and we had a suite at no extra charge which was most comfortable. Smallish swimming pool in front of the hotel.

Although the hotel never answered  my emails with a special request the reception was efficient at rectifying this and parking very convenient . Restaurant very good with a very varied menu at standard local prices. 

Only negative is the cheap bed mattress used ....the kind which you can feel the springs as you sit on it. The pillows need replacing also.

Otherwise just a regular good and pleasant transit hotel . 

Very clean and very helpful staff.
Getting the right room is very important, when we arrived we got a room with the view of a wall a never got the sun, I went to ask to change rooms which they did no problem (did have to pay a surcharge) we then got a ocean view with sun all day.
Only problem we had was the location.
You need a car if staying here as there is very little to do in the area
We went to 3 restaurants in the area and not one had a kids menu,we ended up going to Cascais and Estoril for things to do and eat.
If you are looking for total relaxing sunbathing this is perfect, if you have kids you need to look at Cascais to stay for more to do.
Also GPS does not pick up hotel

I’ve just returned from a 7 days vacation to Solar Palmeiras and I enjoyed very much staying in this hotel. First night we had an apartment located in the back of the hotel, which was a little bit noisy since the hotel is pretty close to railways, but we exchange it next day with an apartment with sea view (for an extra 25 €/day), and it was ok. The rooms are very spacious. The hotel is located at very short distance from the beach, which is a very good thing, cause the swimming pool is very small and there are few sun beds. The breakfast was simple but very good. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. The hotel is located between train stations of Paco de Arcos and Oeiras (10 minutes walk from each of them), which is very convenient cause you can travel to Cascais/Estoril or Lisbon in no time.
We will for sure return to this hotel.

I was very impressed with the location, food and the friendly service. We had a great suite with lots of room, the beds were very comfortable and had large bathroom. The atmosphere is very friendly and it’s located in a great area of Lisbon, close to everything. I look forward to returning soon!
