Arriving after a 10 hour flight 12 pm tired and just wanting a bed, I was led through the building to my room, expecting a luxury room over looking the pool I was disappointed, I was in a room with no view, the room in its day was good , but fast forward 10 years it was tired, but I didn't let myself get carried away and think badly of the hotel, in the morning heading down to breakfast I was met by every staff member with a smile, the food was good and plenty of it, the only misgiving was the abundance of rude Russians treating the staff like crap, and taking enough food to feed and army then not eating it. The hotel is just across the road from the beach, and a huge selection of restaurants and cafes. I am pleased with the hotel the staff and the location.

Stayed for 3 nights, Kata beach is a good location for those who prefer less hectic place. Close to Patong Beach around 20 mins driving. The hotel itself is hard to locate, you have to look for it very carefully as there are a lot of signage along the road. Look for Mali restaurant, it is just around the corner. I can say I really love the room, modern and stylish design. The staffs are very helpful and don't forget to tipped them

Booked for a night through Agoda. We were traveling from Patong and our taxi driver did not know the location of this hotel. Had to stop and ask the locals. Check in was efficient and a staff accompanied us to the room and showed us how to use the safebox. We messed it up and called the receptionist to get someone to fix it but they never came. Room was very spacious, had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The bathroom was complete with bathtub and shower. There was a sliding window next to the bathtub so you can watch tv while taking a bath. The hotel is within walking distance to Kata beach. There were massage parlour, tattoo parlour, cafe, travel agency, convenience store around the hotel. There was a pancake stall which makes the best thai pancakes just infront of the luxury hotel across the street. The only downside, by night the area would be dead. There wasn't much entertainment and you had to walk to Karon area for a little entertainment. However Kata Beach is mostly recommended for families and those seeking peace and relaxation so if you want rowdy nightlife, you should stay in Patong.

Location : not the most happening spot @ kata beach, but good enough.

The good :
- Friendly staff
- a mac mini and dvd player in the room,
- wifi

The not-so-good :
- wifi - Dont dream of streaming movies!
- washroom - not dirty, but could be cleaner
- washroom - where's my shaver?
- airport transfer - 1000baht, thats the 'standard' rate. (so get a cab yourself and bargain it down)
- pool access room (or generally all room) : some room is right in front of the lobby area.

complaint :
if you book this hotel online (3rd party website), probably you might want to double confirm with the hotel itself before you arrive. (we had some hiccups)
