This hotel should really be rated as 3 stars, but it's a good option if you don't mind the basic room. The pool is definitely the high point of the hotel. Another good point is the tour shop by the entrance, many options and fairly good price + very nice staff. The location is good, close enough to the beach and main street. Staff was average in my case, no issues but not so friendly either.

Just letting people know that the Serene Resort will be having major renovations going on between May - November. Resort will still be open but be warned of the possible inconvience. Not all agents are aware of this and it could mean a make or break hotel to some.

Me and three other friends stayed there five days and we really enjoyed staying at this hotel...the rooms are very comfortable and clean daily..the breakfast buffet was very good! the hotel is very good located, just 300 mt from Kata Beach and very close to the shops and party area..We had just some problems with the reception staff because noone could speak a fluent English..

The administration was good. The manager was nice but the reception was rude. Yes, they were really rude. No service mind from them. We had a problem about booking but instead of dealing with the problem but the staff were humiliated us that we were cheap. There was only one staff at the counter was friendly to us. We talked to the manager with the problem and she resolved it well but we didn't feel comfortable with our stay because we needed to contact the counter and they still treated us badly because we reported them to the manager and it was what we remember a bad thing from Phuket. The rest of that Phuket was a good place to go.
