We had an amazing time here with wonderful service and a different cup of tea every day, don't get me started on the food, I could eat there for ever, the bedrooms are immaculate and huge with a view of the village, have a stick massage ! Will come back again!!

Enjoyed a lot!!! My 1 yr old kid also enjoyed the place with warmth of all the staff, specially Laltu uncle. Must try the various different tea available at Tea Bar.

We had a great time at Cochrane Place because of the view from our room " Kachenjunga", very cordial staff and the good food served, besides, the herbal tea which is a MUST . Hiccups because of telephone lines not working did happen( in order to pay by card ), but I understood later that the place they get it done outside is Very Safe. The Owners are very gracious people and the delay in the refund ( which was made a few days later was due to a different account , which I misunderstood ). We have planned to visit again during late October /early November next year. Iam very sure anyone who visits Cochrane Place will not only have a memorable stay, but the memory will linger on..

Took my family for the first time to Cochrane Place as we had heard about it from a friend who visited it last year from the US.Was there for three nights. The Hotel tried to showcase the past in their own way, but the original building was brought down and a copy of the past was remade. However, the views are good and we had a comfortable & peaceful holiday, which we were looking forward to. The downside is that the landline does not work most of the time and the Manager would offer to take you to the Kurseong Bazar to get your credit card swiped. I was not agreeable to get my card swiped n an inknown place as they download your card details. Beware of this problem. Secondly, we paid our last bill in a hurry for breakfast etc as we were checking out, and by mistake they had attached someone else's bill as well, which got paid. I had detected it and phoned Mr Ravinder, Manager, from the car and pointed out the details. He promised to look into it and reimburse me soon. I sent an email reminding him after 2 weeks. Well, it is over a month now and the paltry sum of Rs 259/- did not get reimbursed. So, beware to check your bills carefully before paying, as they do not return funds.
